The Room

There are at least two artists which use this name: 1. The Room were formed in the late 70`s by Dave Jackson and Becky Stringer (both later of Benny Profane, Dust and The Dead Cowboys) before going through various personnel changes and splitting in 1985. With their interesting mixture of smooth vocals (Mel Torne was a big influence), clever lyrics (at times worthy of Jackson’s hero Thomas Pynchon) and splindly yet melodic music (thin The Fall but with more emphasis on melody) the band though very...

Dark Quarterer

The original group was formed in 1974 in Piombino and was called "Omega erre". Eight years of playing cover followed with no concerts or performances, but a continuous effort to capture the sounds and colours of the hard and progressive rock of those years.

Telephoned

Telephoned was born one night in Brooklyn when DJ/producer Sammy Bananas and singer/party starter Maggie Horn decided to record their own version of T-Pain's "Can't Believe It." Their track was neither remix nor cover - instead, the duo fashioned a postmodern take on both, warping the original beat into a hypnotic club track and bringing out the dreamy qualities only hinted at in Pain's auto-tuned melodies.

Encompass

There are 2 artists who go by the name Encompass. 1. Encompass was formed in Alexandria, Virginia by four musicians of diverse musical and cultural backgrounds, coming together in March 2001. Despite several successful concerts and the gathering of a loyal following, the group disbanded later that year for what could euphemistically be termed "musical differences". In April of 2004, the band decided to reunite and use those musical differences synergistically to produce music that can best be described as “alternative prog rock.”

Ghouls

NOTE: not to be confused with The Ghouls. Massimiliano Franceschini started Ghouls back in 1996 with Fabrizio Franceschini on bass, Marco Meister on guitars and Andrea Cassina on drums. Their self titled first demo, in 1996, included four tracks (Evil & Hate; Fear; Antichrist; Absolute Dominion). Few months after the recording session Meister and Cassina left the band. In 1998 Massimiliano knew Antonio Poletti (former Novembre) and Emilio Trillò (from Carnal Rapture) and they talked about record a new demo.
