Infadels

Band Members: Bnann (vocals), Matt Gooderson (guitars, programming), Richie Vernon (keys, electronics), Wag Marshall-Page (bass), Alex Bruford (drums) Infadels' name came about after the band saw Osama bin Laden on TV cursing the infidels calling them ultimate sinners, which appealed straight away. A spelling mistake resulted in the alternative spelling and the name stuck. In September 2003 they returned with their first single as the INFADELS, ‘Leave Your Body’, which was immediately played by JOHN PEEL & GARY CROWLEY and things really started happening.

Raleigh

There are two groups with this name: 1. A prog-folk trio from Calgary, Canada.
http://raleigh.bandcamp.com/ Sultry boy girl duets weave through newstyle prog-folk. This cello, guitar, drum trio pulls unexpected beat memories from the places your heart has heard before. Raleigh is a trio from Calgary, AB with a sound larger than their line-up might imply, and a style that is difficult to pigeonhole. 2. A post hardcore band from Massachusetts, USA.

Jon Auer

Jon Auer is most well known for being one half of The Posies creative team, along with Ken Stringfellow. Auer's solo recordings demonstrate his considerable influence to the success of The Posies. In particular, SONGS FROM THE YEAR OF OUR DEMISE achieves new levels of melody and lyrical brilliance. The song "Bottom of the Bottle" will resonate with anyone who has dated someone who drinks a "little too much," and "Six Feet Under" may be one of the most depressing (yet cathartic) break-up songs ever written.

Blackmore's Night

Blackmore's Night is an English Renaissance-inspired medieval folk rock band led by UK guitarist Ritchie Blackmore (electric and acoustic guitars) and Candice Night (lyricist and lead vocals). The origins of the band lie in 1990 when Candice was working at a local New York rock music radio station, and as part of her work first encountered Ritchie (now ex-Deep Purple/Rainbow guitarist), then with Deep Purple, at a soccer game he was playing in. The two became romantically entwined and discovered that they shared a passionate interest in the Renaissance.

Dancing Heals

Dancing Heals is melodramatic popular song. Combining the youthful passion of soaring synths and crystal acoustics layered with the subtlety of red wine inebriation; the music lies somewhere between the thump of Arcade Fire and the delicacy of Nick Drake. It’s easy, inviting and layered for a thousand listens. The band was born in 2008 from a collection of seasoned Melbourne musicians. Having instruments ranging from electric and acoustic guitars, hammonds and synths, to live drums and samples, the songs take on their own depth without conforming to any one particular trend.
