"Weirdo lo-fi psych rock" - Timeout "a futuristic dystopia of panic stricken pop, contains all the sinister and occult vibrations that a Naked Lunch reader could ever wish to consume." "Brian Jonestown crunchiness and William Burroughs paranoia. Awesome."" Artrocker "Artefacts are three young dudes who play straight-up rock reminiscent of Nirvana and Pavement, but manage to contemporize in a way that makes it sound futuristic and sometimes spooky" - 'Sup Magazine
The Victorian English Gentlemens Club
The Victorian English Gentlemens Club is a cranky Artrock band hailing from Cardiff, Wales. The punky group's first single was a limited-edition "The Tales of Hermit Mark"/"My Son Spell Backwards" on White vinyl. Double A-side "Amateur Man"/"Ban the Gin" followed that summer. The Victorian English Gentlemans Club added to the anti-emo sentiment currently taking their native United Kingdom by storm thanks to the growing popularity of The Horrors and Blood Red Shoes.

Friska Viljor
It was January, in the year of grace 2005. Two broken relationships had led two very good friends (Daniel & Joakim) down the path to the strikingly untidy rehearsalstudio. A decision was made.
A decision that may well change these lost souls lives forever. A decision that was based on the numerous nights of toxic discussions between the two. The one topic that was always brought to life these nights, ever so confusing, was love.
The Brakes
Parlotones
The Parlotones kicked off their professional career in 2003, rising to the forefront of South African music by 2006 when they signed a European license deal on the back of their debut single beautiful being used in a Fujifilm commercial. Since then, The Parlotones have become the biggest selling band in South Africa and have delivered over 200 shows in 2008 across SA, UK and Europe. Key performances include Live Earth, Coke Fest and V Fest.
Magnolia Electric Co.
In March 2003, while on tour, Jason Molina announced that he would rename his band (Songs: Ohia) Magnolia Electric Co. This new incarnation would retain many of the original players and the stylistic direction of the album of the same name. Jason Molina would also continue to release solo work, but this time under his own name. The first such release came in January of 2004, as the full length vinyl release Pyramid Electric Co. While Magnolia Electric Co. and Pyramid Electric Co. were originally intended as a double album, the latter seems to be the stylistic polar opposite of the former.
LookiMakeMusic
LookiMakeMusic are a five piece band who formed at Birmingham University. Originating as an unnamed electronic duo in Spring of 2008, by winter that year they'd become a full live band with Matthew Turner playing guitar, Tom Goodrige playing bass, Charles Redhead on drums, Caitlin Price playing violin and keyboards and Miles Bradley singing, talking and shouting. They play a noisy, emotional crossbreed of indiepoprawk with occasional post-rock moments and frequent spoken word sections.
