Their first hit, "I'm Into Something Good", was produced by Mickie Most, reaching #1 in the UK (1963) and #13 in the US (1964). The Black Keys have roots in traditional blues and psychedelic rock stylings.

Gabby Young and Other Animals

Gabby Young’s twisting path took her from her rural roots in Wiltshire, through life’s tribulations at an early age before combusting in the London music scene, to cause one of the biggest reactions seen in years. Causing a reaction is becoming a habit for the instantly recognisable girl with a petite frame, mane of red hair and the vocal ability of a lioness. Although classically trained, her diverse musical tastes include pop, rock, folk, jazz, funk and experimental and that shines through in every song.

Terakaft

Terakaft is a gang of guitarists, in the same vein as Tinariwen. Nothing astonishing about that if you consider that Terakaft was founded by Kedou and Diara, two formative and historical guitarists from Tinariwen. Moreover Kedou accompanied Tinariwen to the very first Festival with the Desert by Chock-Essako in January 2001, and contributes four songs on their first album The Radio Tisdas Sessions.

Flake Brown

Flake Brown’s real name is Tony Ramsay. He was born in Essex but moved around a lot as a kid, spending 17 years of his life in Scotland. Tony developed a love of folk music and ragtime guitar picking early on, greatly inspired by the music of Django Reinhardt. He left home to study philosophy, believing it would make him wise, but he couldn’t handle the pressure, so he started busking and playing in bands, occasionally travelling around and roughing it in barns and stone-age burial mounds.
