Punks Jump Up

Punks Jump Up are Londoner Joe Attard and Swede David Andersson. Taking a love of The Clash, 909s, Nike trainers and Stussy rings, they've pushed their sound in various directions, from punk-funk to speed garage. Best known as remixers (Gossip, Digitalism, Peter Bjorn and John), they've kept an album under wraps for a long time now, subject to constant revision as their style evolves. Releases include Be You (Cassette), and Dance To Our Disco (Kitsuné) featuring Pele from The Hives.

Pat Benatar

Pat Benatar is a four-time Grammy winner with six platinum and four gold albums to her credit as well as such hit singles as "I Need a Lover", "Heartbreaker", "Fire and Ice", "Treat Me Right", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "Hell Is For Children", "Shadows of the Night", and "Love Is a Battlefield". Benatar is acknowledged as one of the leading female rock vocalists in the industry. She was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, USA, on January 10th 1953, as Patricia Andrzejewski and graduated Lindenhurst High on Long Island in 1971.

C2C was born in 1998 from the meeting of 4 french Dj's : Greem, Atom, Pfel and 20Syl. Member of an emerging movement called "scratch music" (or turntablism), this crew keeps working on finding original sounds and knows how to benefit from its technical control to put forward some musical quality which makes its identity. Each member uses his turntable as an instrument, recreating in turn drums or bass guitars, scratching a riff of guitar or shearing the brass... to lead to a general harmony such as bands made up of instruments known as "traditional".

The Magician

There are two artists known as The Magician. (1) Nathan Moes is the Magician. Making pop music, with a foot in the past, and an eye for the future, and a body resting in the present, usually upon a piano bench. Having released his debut EP in the Fall of 2008, Nathan has played consistently, claiming 3rd place in CITR 101.9's annual "Shindig" Battle of The Bands, and vetted as a local band to watch for by the Vancouver city beat blog beyondrobson.com.

Human Resource

Human Resource was founded in 1990. Their first record "Dominator" became an European hit almost overnight. Due to this huge success, and the success of their second album "The Kicking Noise of Rotterdam", the group spends years on the road touring the globe. By the end of the 90’s, after many changes of the line up, the band ceased to exist and co-founder Guido Pernet was the only one left. In 2004 he decided to restart the group with oldschool house legends Maurice Steenbergen and Zeno Zevenbergen.

The Navigators

The Navigators is a Celtic band which formed in November 2000 and performs extensively within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. They have so far released one CD, "Dance and Sing", and won the MIANL Award for Roots/Traditional Group of the Year in 2002.

Chromeo

Chromeo is an electrofunk duo based in Montreal, Canada and New York City. They are P-Thugg, on keyboards, synthesizers and talk box, and Dave 1 (David Macklovitch) on guitar and lead vocals. The two were best friends since childhood and officially formed the band in 2002. They describe themselves as the only successful Arab/Jewish collaboration since the beginning of time. David Macklovitch is currently earning his Ph.D in French literature from Columbia University, where he also teaches undergraduate French classes.

Sonique

Born "Sonia Clarke" in London, England in 1968, of Trinidadian parentage. She was sort of written-off at school but had shown talents in sports. She dreamed of becoming a successful pentathlete up to the time ending up only second in a race. Then she turned to the music scene, dancing at clubs etc. and joined a band as a singer at the age of 17. She was homeless in these times. Her band went defunct the same year, but she got a solo record deal leading to an immediate hit in the UK.

Northeast Party House

Northeast Party House are a six piece alternative dance rock band from
Melbourne, Australia. In early 2010 the band began playing warehouse parties and local venues and quickly gained a following based on their reputation for delivering
high energy live shows. A demo version of the band's track 'Dusk' gained blog attention and local airplay, eventually winning triple j's Unearthed competition and being invited to play at the Pyramid Rock Festival 2010.
