D Ramirez

Name: D Ramirez
Music Style: House D Ramirez Intro: In the last fifteen years, if you haven’t heard of at least one of Dean Marriott’s production aliases, then you haven’t really been listening to house music. Donae'o

Donae’o aka Ian Greenidge was always destined to make a career out of music after growing up in a house where melodies were a major force. His mother was a singer and as a youngster growing up in north west London it was common place for her to be heard belting out tunes in the house. A young Donae’o was also a regular companion when she was out performing and loved soaking up the atmosphere. In fact you could say this is where he felt most at home.

Martha Wash

It's a sad comment on the music industry that Martha Wash had to SUE various records labels for ripping off her vocals for other big hits (BLACK BOX, C&C MUSIC FACTORY) to finally get a shot at making her own debut album, but here it is! If only more people bought it like me. If you love house beats and fierce, lung-busting vocals, how can you deny the triple threat of the CD's open trio of dance hits: WHATCHA GONNA DO, GIVE IT TO YOU, and RUNAROUND - all hammered at dance clubs in the mid 90s.

Lemonade

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Only two weeks into their existence, San Francisco-based psych-electronic trio Lemonade coalesced remarkably fast and performed their first show in 2005. The group- comprised of childhood friends Callan Clendenin (vocals), Alex Pasternak (percussion) and Ben Steidel on bass-did not have grand expectations for the project outside of exploring their shared vision of a place that they have never been: a fantasy landscape that is at once gritty and pristine, tropical and foreboding.
