Cher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd, 17, is a student from Malvern, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. She is of Romany ancestry through her mother. She studied performing arts at Dyson Perrins CE Sports College in 2009. She auditioned for The X Factor twice before (when the minimum age was lower) singing ballads but it was only after reinventing herself in 2010 that she got through to see the judges. Lloyd has previously performed at holiday camps and said she gets a mixed reaction to her music. She auditioned singing the Keri Hilson version of "Turn My Swag On".

Menace

There are three different artists/bands: 1. Menace (British Punk Band)
Menace consisting of Charlie Casey (Bass) Steve Tannett (Guitar) Noel Martin (Drums) Morgan Webster (Singer)were London’s first generation no-nonsense boot boys, pre-dating Sham 69, who overtook them in terms of mass popularity, and the Cockney Rejects. They formed in 1976 at the Hope And Anchor in Islington when Webster met the other three members and were soon playing the Roxy.

1) The Heights are an indie/rock band, mostly from Wales, on the 'Best Before' record label. They have released four singles, 'Long Way Home', 'Jamaica Beer Eyes', 'Bad News' and 'For Real'. The bands debut album 'Toys and Kings' is due out on June 18th 2007. They've toured with The Crimea, stellastarr*, labelmates The Morning After Girls and Editors and played numerous festivals, including Glastonbury, Fflam, 02 wireless, Lovebox in the UK with numerous other festivals in Europe and North America. Both Paul Jones and Dave Kelly are notable British Blues musicians. Both can be found as part of the Blues Band.
In 2007 Paul and Dave recorded two live CDs as a duet. They played mainly standard Blues with Dave on Guitar and Paul on Harmonica, with both artists taking on vocals.

Amateur Transplants

The Amateur Transplants (aka Adam Kay and Suman Biswas) are two junior doctors who practice medicine with varying degrees of success. Both were students together at Imperial College, and competed in the annual inter-medical school comedy competition. Their debut album Fitness to Practice (featuring the ultra-sweary London Underground song) is "a cult hit" Sunday Times and "extremely funny" Daily Telegraph. In 2008 they released their second album "Unfit to Practice".

Blue

There are multiple artists with this name: 1) Blue are a British boy band consisting of four members: Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe. The band debuted in 2001, and split up after much sucess, in 2005. All of the band members pursued solo singing careers alongside other interests. The band recently announced (April 2009) that they had reformed. Their only confirmed gig so far is Capital FM's Summer Ball in London.

Gilbert and Sullivan

Main tag based on greatest number of listeners: Gilbert & Sullivan. Sir William Schwenck Gilbert (1836-1911) was born in London and originally trained as a lawyer. He started out by writing humourous poetry and his collaboration with Sullivan gave him the ability to create absurd characters and lyrics. Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan (1842-1900) was also born in London. He was taught music by his father and continued his training at the Royal Academy of Music and the Leipzig conservatory.
