The Starlets

The Starlets (US) The Starlets were a 1960's girl group that recorded for the legendary Chess label. The group started out as The Lovettes, before changing to The Gems. Dorothy Hucklebee, the lead vocal of The Starlets was a constant member though Vadine Harris and then Minnie Riperton were the main voices of the earlier incarnations.
The Starlets (UK) : based in glasgow, belonging nowhere, the starlets are a melancholy pop group with ambitions to be cheerful.

Fantazia

Formed in the late '90s, Fantazia emerged from multicultural Hackney, N.E. London, with their unique blend of North African and other influences, rapidly establishing themselves as a distinctive voice on the British music scene. Their self-produced debut CD 'The Lost Place' (2000) enhanced their reputation, receiving airplay throughout Europe, while the power of their live performances spread the word further in the UK.

Breathing Space

There are two bands currently performing under the name Breathing Space. The first is a seven-piece progressive/pop rock band from York, England formed by keyboardist Iain Jennings. The band was formed to tour Iain's first solo album (Breathing Space) and then became a band in their own right. They have recorded one album to date, Coming Up For Air, which was released in 2007. Speak Galactic are an electronic lo-fi pop band from Gothenburg, formed by Owen Thomas in 2009. After re-locating from Brighton, England to Gothenburg in Sweden in 2008, Owen started to record songs into his laptop. These sporadic sessions culminated in a full length album nearly 18 months later.
Completed late 2009, "When The Sea Water Reaches The Window" is 9 tracks of scratchy, ambient pop music, layering detuned guitars, samples and percussion over playful song structures and arrangements.

The Rasmus

The Rasmus is a rock band from Finland. The Rasmus formed at the end of the band members schooling and were initially known as Rasmus. They recorded their first single, "1st", released independently through Teja Kotilainen. Records in late 1995 before signing with Warner Music Finland to release their first album, Peep, when the band members were only aged 16. It went gold as the band played over 100 shows in Finland and Estonia.

Rocky Burnette

Rocky Burnette was part of the early 1980s revival of the rockabilly style. He released his first album, Son of Rock 'n' Roll, on EMI America in 1979. In the summer of 1980, his single "Tired of Toein' the Line" became a Top Ten hit in the United States. The song was also popular internationally. EMI America's financial problems interfered with promotion efforts for the follow-up singles (several of which became hits in other countries), and Burnette's second album, Heart Stopper, was not successful.

Sylvie Lewis

Sylvie Lewis is a singer/songwriter, currently based in Rome, Italy. Born in London, England, she came to the United States in 1995 and studied at the Berklee College of Music. After some travelling, she relocated to Los Angeles, where her self-released EP "Beautiful Mess" was heard by Cheap Lullaby Records, and she was signed to a deal. She released her debut album Tangos and Tantrums in 2005 to good reviews, and has toured the United States and the United Kingdom since then.

Bob James

Bob James (born December 25, 1939) is a two-time Grammy Award-winning jazz keyboardist. Though he has recorded a couple of straight jazz albums, most of his recordings contain "pop-jazz" which is a type of instrumental pop music. Bob James was an important figure in turning 1970s fusion jazz more commercial. For their album One on One, Earl Klugh and Bob James received a Grammy award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance of 1981.
