Splitting influences from the early 90s iconic Aussie groundbreakers such as GOD, Bored! & early Magic Dirt to the likes of post grunge US indie rockers Built To Spill and Archers of Loaf and the iconic Dinosaur Jnr, Kill Teen Angst write and play urgent and compelling alt rock.
Shihad are a four-piece band from New Zealand, comprising Jon Toogood (guitar/vocals), Tom Larkin (drums), Karl Kippenberger (bass) and Phil Knight (guitar). Their style is best described as "hard rock", although they were described as "metal" in their formative years. Shihad were formed in 1988 in Wellington, New Zealand. They were briefly known between 2002-2004 as "Pacifier". During this time the band was attempting to break into the US market and it was decided that Shihad sounded too much like the arabic word 'jihad', thus the name change. Their major albums and EPs include:
Garage Hymnal are a collaboration of professional Christian musos, committed to taking time out of their normal gigs to lead the church in worship. Originally formed as the Sydney University Evangelical Union’s 2004 annual conference band, they were quickly overwhelmed by the need for evangelical worship leaders in Sydney and started recruiting like-minded contributors to the project. With over 50 contributors, Garage Hymnal is about bringing together musos from all sorts of denominations and from all over Sydney.

There are a number of producers who are known for being prolific; Roska, Cooly G, Benga to name a few, and now Gerry Read can be added to that list. The Cambridgeshire producer has only a handful of actual releases to his name, but a vault of hundreds. We can well imagine his hardrive straining from the sheer velocity of ideas that he sends our way. Raw, urgent and frequently off kilter, Gerry's production challenges your ears but always manages to lock in the groove.
Sleazy but wry, cowpunk / hard rock that has some similarities to bands like Nashville Pussy and The Cramps but is more tongue-in-cheek. Know for their ferocious live shows, SixFtHick, portray their hometown, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia as if it was a separate country, with co-lead singer Geoff Corbett playing the role of a parochial Boss Hogg. The other singer, his brother, Ben Corbett plays the role of a disturbed Iggy Pop with an emphasis on physical self abuse.
Critics are a four-piece pop-punk band based in Kiama, New South Wales, Australia. Originally known as The Polaroid People, the band changed their name in 2011 in order to distance themselves for their previous, much poppier sound. They released their debut EP, To the Beat of the Drunk, in September 2011.
