Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald (born February 12, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American R&B/soul singer (sometimes described as a "blue-eyed soul" singer), known for his trademark husky baritone voice. McDonald played in several local bands (such as Mike and the Majestics, Jerry Jay and the Sheratons, the Reebtoors, and The Guild) while attending McCluer High School in his hometown of Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis.

Rat Pack

The Rat Pack is the nickname given to a group of popular entertainers most active between the mid-1950s and mid-1960s. Its most famous line-up featured Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop, who appeared together in films and on stage in the early 1960s. Despite its reputation as a masculine group, the Rat Pack did have female participants, such as movie icons Shirley MacLaine, Lauren Bacall, and Judy Garland.

The Rockets

There are at least six bands called The Rockets. 1) The band from which Neil Young formed Crazy Horse. The band began in 1962 as the doo wop group Danny & the Memories, with guitarist/singer Danny Whitten, and counting future Crazy Horse stalwarts Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina as members, the latter two are the only individuals present in every incarnation of the band. Taylor began his career in 1961, as a pianist and singer with several groups in Toronto. He also made his first recordings in 1961, for the Audiomaster label. The following year, Taylor's "At The High School Dance", a single for Amy-Mala Records, was a minor success, and the singer decided to move to Detroit for better opportunities. In Detroit, Taylor was hired by Motown Records in 1964 as a songwriter.

John Leyton

John Leyton is an English actor and singer. As a singer he is best known for his hit song "Johnny Remember Me", (written by Geoff Goddard and produced by the legendary Joe Meek) which reached Number 1 in the UK chart in August 1961. John Dudley Leyton was born on 17 February 1939 in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex. After completing his National Service, he studied drama, paying his way through drama school with bit-part roles in films and on television.

Petula Clark, CBE (born November 15, 1932), is an English singer, actress and composer, best known for her upbeat popular international hits of the 1960s. With nearly 70 million recordings sold worldwide, she is the most successful English solo female recording artist to date. Perhaps best known for her massive hit 'Downtown' and whilst being English, Petula's work was heavily French-influenced.In the 1950s, she later was to branch out to become a major success in much of Europe.
