Lamp

Lamp are an indie pop, jazz, and alternative trio from Japan. Formed by Taiyou Someya (composer, guitarist, conductor, producer), Yusuke Nagai (vocal, multi-instrument-player, composer) and Kaori Sakakibara (vocal, flute, accordion) in 2000, they are heavily influenced by 60s American music, ethereal tunes, and bossa nova. They debuted in 2003 with the release of a six-track EP, "Soyokaze Apartment 201" (そよ風アパートメント201). All of their albums are released under MONTE BLEU, an indies label.

Earl Okin

Earl Okin (31st January 1947) is a London singer-songwriter, musician and comedian with a long international career. Born in Carshalton, Surrey, he has lived in Notting Hill since he was 5 years old, holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Kent at Canterbury (1968) and worked as a schoolmaster for 11 years before going 'full time'. He was signed to the same company as The Beatles in 1966 and recorded his first single at Abbey Road in 1967.

See Sérgio Mendes. Sérgio Santos Mendes (born Niteroi, 11 February 1941) is a Brazilian musician. Born the son of a physician in Niteroi, Brazil, Mendes attended the local conservatory with hopes of becoming a classical pianist. As his interest in jazz grew, he started playing in nightclubs in the late-1950s just as bossa nova, a jazz-inflected derivative of samba, was taking off. Mendes played with Antonio Carlos Jobim (regarded as a mentor), and many U.S. jazz musicians who toured Brazil.
