"One of the best psychobilly bands around....a traditional psychobilly sound but supercharged with aggression and skillful execution.." - The nice people at Rockers "Whipping up a storm in the Liverpool scene...this maniacal wrecking crew are leading the charge of the British rockabilly movement headfirst into the dark side and loving every minute of it." - Big Cheese Magazine "Blue Demon swagger and shake in all the right places!" - Rocksound Magazine "Watch out, BLUE DEMON could become one of the leaders of the European psychobilly scene." - GoPsycho Online
Rockabilly Voodoo Gretsch guitar over a rhythmic rockin' tornado of pounding Rock'n'Roll drums and Psychobilly upright bass slapped senseless. Vince Ray & The Boneshakes trash the boundaries of Rockabilly - playing as hard as Rockabilly can be played, blasting out songs with similarly themed to Ray's incredible artwork... gruesome Rock'n'Roll Zombies, bad bad girls, cool cats in too-fast cars, booze, tattoos...
In 1983, childhood friends and schoolmates Jeroen Haamers (guitar) and Johnny Zuidhof (drums) formed the Dutch rockabilly band Batmobile
Recruiting Jeroen's brother Eric, the band began playing local venues, covering the likes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Burnette and Gene Vincent. After a few years, the group decided to start writing their own material. Their songs were heavely inspired by the rockabilly past but infused with a restless and manic energy. This sound, combined with their purportedly wild live shows, attracted people from the psychobilly scene towards the band.
‘ballroom gothic juntabilly garage band’ ...is an apt descripton of this band. For folks who prize unspoiled simplicity in rock and roll -especially rockabilly. Tav Falco's Panther Burns may be the ultimate: Drenched in echo, Falco goes through a familiar repertoir of Elvis Presley-derived "whooops", mutters, and coos, while an amateurish backing band (that included Alex Chilton in the early years) grinds away looking like high school rocker's struggling through their first rehearsal.
The 5.6.7.8's are a female, three-piece, japanese rock and roll band, whose music is reminiscent of American surf music and garage rock. The band formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1986. The band currently consists of founding members Yoshiko Fujiyama (vocals, guitar) and her sister Sachiko Fujiyama (drums) and long-time bassist Akiko Omo. The group have so named themselves because they do 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's rock. They do many covers from American rock and roll records.
Every song is speaking about love (in fact about feelings, sex or porn). As usual Tight Fitting Pants are singing love stories, using obscene lyrics and various jokes! 12 funny songs, catchy, fast and melodic. A mix between Punkrock and Psychobilly. Tight Fitting Pants are a 4piece psychobilly band playing since 2002. Their music is fast, punky and melodic. Since the beginning, they choose to speak about love and sex, instead of death and zombies as a proper psychobilly band. Maybe because they wanted to create something new, or maybe because they’re real perverts….
