Glossary

The phrase “Long Live All of Us” is the title of Glossary’s seventh full-length album, but it’s also meant as an all-inclusive homage to humanity. Frontman Joey Kneiser says, in light of all the bad things happening in the world, the band just wanted to make a positive record. Long Live All of Us allowed the band from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to take their influences farther than ever before, adding piano, haunting pedal steel, R&B-influenced horns and more to their own style of romanticized rock & roll.

Rainer

Born on June 7, 1951, in East Germany, Rainer Jaromir Ptacek grew up in Chicago after his family fled the Communist country in 1953. Musically inclined from childhood, in the mid '60s Rainer swapped violin for guitar. (He once quipped, "None of the Beatles, it seemed, were interested in violin.") A decade later he'd become a fixture on the Tucson music scene, ultimately garnering an international reputation as a song stylist and slide virtuoso that had critics speaking of him, Ry Cooder and John Fahey in the same breath...

Crooked Fingers

Crooked Fingers is an American alt-folk band based in North Carolina and led by former Archers Of Loaf lead singer Eric Bachmann. The rotation of band members has included such musicians as Lara Meyerratken, R.L. Martin, Jo Jameson, Barton Carroll and Dov Friedman. In 1998, following the breakup of Archers of Loaf, Bachmann started work on a solo project that he named Crooked Fingers. The first outcome of this project, a self-titled release of various songs he had written, was released by WARM in 2000.

Jackson Cage www.jacksoncage.com are a 7 piece folk rock band with a sound that echo's the heyday of Laurel Canyon in the late 60's and early 70's. While growing up in Northern Ireland, these guys were captivated by the music of legends like Neil Young, Dylan, Jackson Browne, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Fairport Convention and The Band. Inspired to write honest folk rock songs of their own, Jackson Cage have created a unique sound fusing Celtic Folk Rock with American Roots Rock music to bring a breath of fresh air to today's music scene.

The Be Good Tanyas

The Be Good Tanyas are an trio with and influences, hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia. They play a combination of original and traditional material, and are notable for their lush vocal harmonies. The group features Frazey Ford (guitar, vocals), Samantha Parton (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals) and Trish Klein (electric guitar, banjo, harmony vocals). Jolie Holland is a former member and also a frequent guest.

Originally a Washington D.C.-based roots rock band, with "country, swing, bluegrass, blues, folk, mariachi, punk, pop, and Tin Pan Alley influences". Now based out of Nashville, Eric Brace and the gang travel around the US singing about the Donut Girl. LTH frontman Eric Brace is a former staff writer for The Washington Post where he was a columnist covering the local music and nightlife scene.
