La Grande Sophie

La Grand Sophie, born July 18, 1969 in Thionville, is a French singer songwriter who started her career in the mid 90's alternative Parisian music scene. She grew up in Port-de-Bouc near Marseilles. She created "kitchen music," which she describes as "a mid 90's movement that sees little difference between musical activity and other daily tasks." When she was 13, she started a band with her brother and neighbor. She played the guitar.

He creates extremely eclectic music, plays a whole host of instruments himself during recordings and has a large base of dedicated fans. His music being so eclectic, it is hard to label him. However, the influence of Serge Gainsbourg can be traced in the way he uses the structures of Anglo-Saxon pop and funk, but blends them with the French tradition of complex lyrical wordplay and an emphasis on storytelling.

Arthur H

Arthur H is Arthur Higelin's stage name. Higelin (born Paris, France, 27 March 1966), is a French pianist, songwriter and singer. He is the son of the French singer Jacques Higelin and Nicole Courtois. After traveling in the West Indies, he studied music in Boston before returning to Paris and developing his eclectic but highly personal musical style, drawing on such influences as Thelonious Monk, Serge Gainsbourg, The Sex Pistols, jazz, blues, Middle Eastern music and the tango.

Trust is a name of at least seven acts: 1) A Toronto, ON, Canada duo of Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski, formed in 2009. Their releases include, singles: "Candy Walls" (Mar 2011, Sacred Bones) and "Bulbform" (Sep 2011, Sacred Bones) LPs: "TRST" (Feb. 28, 2012, Arts & Crafts). The band disbanded in 1984, but have often reformed for one off shows and have been more steadily active since 1996.

Parabellum

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Parabellum from Colombia. Being formed in 1981 Parabellum is referred to as the first extreme band from Colombia, and one of the first in South America. Unbelievably evil stuff somewhere between Hellhammer, Sarcofago, Poison (GER) and Bathory, but even more dirty and vicious with some spine-chilling parts. Had a couple of EPs in the 80-s, and in 2005 a compilation, called Tempus Mortis was released.

Tina Arena (born Filippina Lydia Arena on 1 November 1967, in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian singer and songwriter. Her career began at the age of seven when she was selected as a regular performer for the music television program Young Talent Time. As a child Arena attracted attention for the power of her voice, which was considered remarkable for such a young child. She was born to Italian parents and has a sister, Nancy (born 1961). Often billed as "Tiny Tina Arena", she was seen on weekly television singing and dancing the current pop hits.

Keren Ann (born Keren Ann Zeidel in Caesarea, Israel, on March 10, 1974) is a singer/songwriter with dual Dutch-Israeli citizenship. She plays guitar, piano and clarinet and engineers and writes choir and musical arrangements. She is from Russian Jewish descent on her father's side and Javanese-Dutch on her mother's. She lived in the Netherlands and Israel until the age of 11, when her family moved to France.
