Funk is an amorphous substance, able to mold itself to a variety of emotions and environments. It consists of all the things we know and composes all the things we feel. It’s the stuff that jiggles in our spine, the thing that rumbles in our belly. It’s the stuff crammed between our toes and the matter jammed between our ears. Funk lives in all of us—its path traces the globe and its roots dig back to traditional campfire rhythms and primal soul vibrations. If you’ve experienced life at all until this point, you’ve come across at least one mutation of the entity of funk.

Described in France as "la voix noire et au costume blanc" (Black voice in a white costume). She is a guitar, bass guitar and percussion player, as well as a song writer. Magda performs music of Afro-American and African heritage. She is a two-time Semifinalist of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA. Readers of the Polish blues quarterly chose her the Female Vocalist of the Year 2003, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2011.

Martin Harley is a mesmerizing singer/songwriter whose original sound draws on influences from old time blues and folk to world music to create songs that sound so familiar you think you’ve grown up with them. Songs about living in cars, worn out shoes, girls lost in the carnival lights, satellite hunting in car parks and a constant sense wondering are recurring themes in Martins music. His original approach to playing slide guitar across his lap and his accomplished finger style playing are the cornerstone of the music along with his whiskey soaked northern breeze vocals.

Hailing from the musical city of Bristol, 5 men with the joined idea of creating something new have come together and fused their influences old and new to bring you what they call VALIS ABLAZE. A contortion of Metal and Progressive sounds, they have achieved a deep sound which can only come from these 5 titans writing together. Debuting in the upcoming summer period, VALIS ABLAZE will put on a show while sparing no energy.
