The Ordinary Boys

The Ordinary Boys were an English indie rock band formed in 2002 in Worthing, a seaside town in West Sussex, originally named Next in Line. They were influenced by mod revival and britpop music, as well as the bands Madness, The Specials, The Kinks and The Smiths. Their name derives from a Morrissey song, "The Ordinary Boys". The band consisted of members Samuel Preston (vocals, guitar), William J. Brown (guitar), James Gregory (bass), and Simon Goldring (drums), who replaced Charles “Chuck” Stanley in 2005.

Spitfire

There is more than one artist with this name: 1. Spitfire is a metalcore / mathcore quintet. Originally, the band featured vocalist and guitarist Matt Beck, drummer Chris Raines, and bassist Jimmy Reeves. With this lineup, they released an EP called Straining Towards What's To Come on 2Jake Records and The Dead Next Door on Solid State Records in 1999. Later, having added new vocalist Jon Spencer, Spitfire released a second EP, called The Slideshow Whiplash, for Goodfellow Records. Soon after, in 2001, the band broke up.

The Upgrades

THE UPGRADES are an up-beat alternative punk rock band. Mixing modern day rock influences with reggae rhythms and punchy beats, their music clearly points to a targeted audience more in touch with mainstream commercial music than just a niche market of ska or punk enthusiasts. The hints of modern pop punk, and vocals reminiscent of many "anthem-esque" type rock songs with traditionally catchy chorus's have been said to “stir up even the most stoic listener“.

Rudeboy

1. It is in July of the year 2000 as dj Rudeboy (Dave Paalhaar) and his brother (nowadays known as T-Junction) buy themselves a set of turntables and a mixer to try to let a wish come true: becoming well-known dj's throughout the world. After a lot of practicing all of the aspects of dj'ing at home and at the local youthcentre Radar, the promoter of the eastside underground MC Syco was intrigued by the skills of this talent and gave him the opportunity to rock the decks at an Oldschool Madness party.

Ghostwood

Ghostwood are an alternative rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 2006. Ghostwood members are Gabriel Navidzadeh (lead vocals), Paddy Harrowsmith (guitar), Tom Crandles (bass), and James West (drums). Still in high school, the band were signed to Modular in late 2006 for a one EP deal and are heavily influenced by bands like Oasis, The Stone Roses, Joy Division and My Bloody Valentine. The band used to be called The Ghosts, but changed their name to Ghostwood "because 7 million other bands already have the name 'Ghosts'".

The Filaments

The Filaments were a 6 piece punk band from Essex. They released two albums and 3 tracks on a 4-way split. On the 10th of July '05 they played their "last" gig at the City Invasion tour in London and on March '06 played two reunion shows in London with Deadline. but also played at the Rebellion punk festival in Blackpool Winter gardens Aug '07. Since then they have also made appearances in 2009, by appearing with Suicide Bid at the Highbury Relentless Garage, London. They are also rumoured to be writing a new record with a headlining slot at next years Rebellion festival.

The Cat Empire

The Cat Empire is a six-piece alternative band from Melbourne, Australia. Their sound has been described as a fusion of jazz, funk, and rock with heavy latin / salsa influences (not to mention reggae, ska and dub). Currently, the Cat Empire consists of Ollie McGill (keyboard and backing vocals), Ryan Monro (bass and backing vocals), Felix Riebl (percussion and vocals), Harry James Angus (trumpet and vocals), Will Hull-Brown (drums), and Jamshid "Jumps" Khadiwhala (decks, percussion).
