Carolyn Anona Scott
Carolyn Anona Scott is a 22 year-old songwriter and folk singer. Born in Dunfermline, Carolyn has been living and gigging around Edinburgh for two years now. Her take on traditional song has been described as "spine-tingling" by The Sunday Times. Her debut album will be available in early 2009. Lois
Having picked up a second-hand guitar in 1985, and learning from Calvin Johnson, Lois Maffeo's first band was Lumihoops, with Sharon Berman and Jan Brock. They only played live once, at the Smithfield Cafe, but can be heard on the Yoyo Recordings compilation Throw.
Her second band, The Cradle Robbers, was formed with future The Spinanes member Rebecca Gates. They released one track on the compilation Red Hot + Bothered/Indie Rock Guide To Dating before disbanding.
Brad
Brad from Seattle, Washington, USA formed officially in 1992 (though the members had been playing together for a long time before that) and in 1993 released their debut album Shame. Brad includes 4 friends from the Seattle area who are musicians, including Stone Gossard (of Pearl Jam fame), Regan Hagar (former member of an early grunge band Malfunkshun), Shawn Smith (also a member of Pigeonhed and Satchel) and Jeremy Toback also of Ons.
John Doyle
John Doyle (b. Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish musician. For four years he served as acoustic guitarist with the Irish/American band Solas, and is also an active solo artist. He has written many traditional-sounding songs and has collaborated with Kate Rusby. Doyle has also producing credits, as well as performing, on the solo CDs of the singer from Cherish the Ladies, Heidi Talbot's, Distant Future, on which she sings his composition, "I dream of you", his current touring partner Liz Carroll's CDs, and his father Sean Doyle's CD, The Light and the Half Light.

Nathalie Nahai
A classically trained violinist and vocalist, Nathalie Nahai began writing and arranging songs whilst still at school. Self-taught on guitar, she began performing publicly in 2004, taking time from her studies at Central Saint Martins (College of Art and Design) to record her debut album in the States, with top engineer Kristofer Sampson and multi-platinum Grammy award winning producer Don McCollister. In August 2008 she will release her debut album 'Fortune Teller' on Fuzzy Muskrat Records.
Tiffany Anders
Tiffany Anders started her recording career at the tender age of five singing and snickering on art rock band Monitor's record, which also included the Meat Puppets first release. It would be a little while before she would record again, doing background vocals for artists such as Dinosaur Jr., Mike Watt, and Mike Johnson. She first started playing guitar at 14, but it would be several years before she would put a band together to play the songs that she had been working on, finally settling on the name Hot White Noon.
