Joker's Daughter

Joker’s Daughter is a project featuring vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Helena Costas. This fresh folk-pop excursion reveals new facets of the renowned artist and producer Danger Mouse, who collaborates with Costas throughout. Born in London but Greek Cypriot by origin, Helena Costas studied violin from ages 7 to 13, then taught herself guitar and keyboards. As she became an adult, her mission came into focus. She wrote songs relentlessly, learned the art of production, and gained confidence as a performer as she played gigs around London.

The Silent League

The Brooklyn-based orchestral pop band THE SILENT LEAGUE originated as the solo identity of singer Justin Russo in the late nineties. While a keyboardist with Mercury Rev in support of the critically acclaimed albums "Deserter's Songs" (V2) and "All Is Dream" (V2), Russo secretly stole each available moment in a busy tour schedule to write and record his own fragile and epic LP, "The Orchestra, Sadly, Has Refused".

Woodkid

Woodkid will undoubtedly be the first surprise of 2011. An unexpected arrival far from the manufactured buzz.
The young man, aged 28, has come with an EP of raw beauty, Iron. Woodkid is Yoann Lemoine, previously known for his career as a video director without fault (Yelle, Moby, and more recently Katy Perry for "Teenage Dream"). The legend says that on a shoot in the USA, Woodkid received, straight from the hands of great American guitarist Richie Havens, a banjo that immediately replaced his piano, at least for a while.
