Tony Martin

There are three artists with the name "Tony Martin:" A rock singer; an Australian performer; and an American big-band singer and actor. Tony Martin (born April 19, 1957) was the seventh and final vocalist for the legendary rock band Black Sabbath before the eventual reunion of their original lineup. He was in the band on and off for a ten-year span between 1987 and 1997, recording five albums: The Eternal Idol (1987), Headless Cross (1989), Tyr (1990), Cross Purposes (1994), Cross Purposes Live and Forbidden (1995).

There are atleast 3 artists with this name;
(1) Formed in 1985 in Preston, Lancashire, British thrashers Xentrix (pronounced Zen-tricks) began their careers by playing metal covers before focusing all of their efforts on coming up with original material. Initially known as Sweet Vengeance, guitarist/vocalist Chris Astley, guitarist Kristian Havard, drummer Dennis Gasser and bassist Paul Mackenzie created enough of a stir through their live performances that the English branch of Roadrunner Records took notice and signed the group in January 1989.

Helstar

Helstar began its quest in 1982. The line up consisted of James Rivera (A.K.A Bill Lionel) (vocals), Larry Barragan (guitar), Tom Rogers (guitar), Hector Pavon (drums) and Paul Medina (bass). By 1984 the band had signed with Combat Records and recorded its first album entitled "Burning Star". The average age of the band at that time was 19! After gaining much critical acclaim, the band began to splinter because of their management situation. It was at this time that James and Larry decided to part ways with the rest of the band and guide Helstar in a new direction.

Two bands by this name: 1) NYC punk band circa 83-87 2) A neo-classical / progressive / power / melodic metal band featuring former Rising Force vocalist Mark Boals; guitar virtuoso Tony Macalpine, bass player Philip Bynoe and Virgil Donati on drums (Tony, Philip and Virgil have also played in Steve Vai band. Keyboards virtuoso Vitalij Kuprij also played in this band, but was replaced by Steve Weingart in 2003.

BLACK DAWN (Formerly known as Nocturnal Feast) It all started in 1993 (finland). Cauldron, Wrath, Tero, Marko, Jussi changed the name Nocturnal Feast into Black Dawn.
Before the recording of the 2nd demo in May, Black Dawn was in war with the local mob of Jehovah worshippers the police and one particular priest. In the first quarter of the year the Black Dawn fell to pieces once more. Only Wrath and Cauldro, were left. The old way became their goal once more.
