Liquid Gold

Liquid Gold were an English disco group conisting of Ellie Hope (vocals), Syd Twynham (guitar), Ray Knott (bass) and Wally Rothe (drums). Ray Knott and Ellie Hope had met auditioning to play in Babe Ruth, a group that released four albums between 1972 and 1975. After the final album, Kid Stuff, they recruited Wally Rothe and Syd Twynham to form Dream Coupe; after a few shows they signed to Creole Records, a Polo Records subsidiary, and changed their name to Liquid Gold.

Blackalicious

Gift Of Gab (Tim Parker) and Chief Xcel (Xavier Mosley) met at John F. Kennedy High School in 1987 in Sacramento, California and formed the group in the early 1990s. They released their first recording, "Swan Lake", on solesides records. The Solesides Crew consisted of the duo, as well as other friends of theirs they had met at University of California - Davis, including DJ Shadow, Lyrics Born and Lateef The Truth Speaker. The single was an underground hit, but label trouble prevented the duo from immediately capitalizing on their fame.

Black Flag

Black Flag is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California, United States, largely the brainchild of Greg Ginn, the guitarist, primary songwriter and sole continuous member through multiple personnel changes. Keith Morris was their original lead singer. He left the band suddenly in 1979 to form the well-known band, Circle Jerks. Ron Reyes was the second singer for the band, but decided to leave the band not too long after. Dez Cadena would be their next singer, but switched to second guitar when they found fourth and final singer Henry Rollins in Washington D.

Gravedigger V

The Gravedigger V started as The Shamen by singer Leighton Koizumi, 16, and 15 yr old bassist Chris Gast, and included ace guitarist Ted Friedman, 16, punk-rock drummer, Matt, (last name and whereabouts unknown,) replaced by the spectacular drummer Dave Anderson. Rounding up this line-up of strange beings was enigmatic guitarist John Hanrattie. Informed at gig #1 that The Shamen was taken as a name, (by about a zillion bands worldwide), the group sat at Bob's Big Boy for hours coming up with a replacement name.

Leslie Phillips

Leslie Phillips is the name of more than one artist. (1) Leslie Phillips (b. January 28, 1962) is an American Christian singer and songwriter, who later recorded under the name Sam Phillips. One of her Christian market albums, The Turning, has been reissued under the Sam Phillips name. (2) Leslie Samuel Phillips OBE (b. April 20, 1924) is an English comedy actor, born in Tottenham, London. Phillips made his first film appearances in the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1950s that he became famous for playing amusing English stereotypes.
