Prudence

There are two bands called Prudence. One is a UK band, who is called Prudence. , (that is Prudence. 'full-stop', the full-stop added just to differentiate between the two here on Last FM). The Norwegian rock band Prudence is maybe one of the most legendary norwegian rock bands ever and were one of the leading rock bands from the late 1960's till they quit. There are at least 8 artists/projects who have used this name for tracks and scores: 1) Gypsy, an American progressive rock band from Minnesota, formed as The Underbeats (1962-1968). Gypsy was house band at the Whisky a Go Go, West Hollywood, California for about eight months from September 1969 to 1970 and were known in 1970 for their US Billboard Chart Single "Gypsy Queen Part 1 and 2", as most of Gypsy's music composed and written by guitarist and singer Enrico Rosenbaum. Curved Air

Curved Air were briefly a sensation in the world of British progressive-rock because of Sonja Kristina's sensual vocals (a veteran of the "Hair" musical play) and Darryl Way's romantic violin. This was the same combination tested in California by It's A Beautiful Day. Francis Monkman (the real genius behind their compositions) added a synthesizer. Air Conditioning (Warner, 1970) boasts Vivaldi, their most celebrated piece.

Soundgarden

Soundgarden is a Seattle rock band who helped to define the sound that came to be called . Despite starting years earlier, and having a sound that more closely resembled Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin than their contemporaries, they are usually considered one of the "big four" of the '90s Seattle grunge bands, along with Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The band was formed in 1984 by Chris Cornell (vocals, and originally drums) and Hiro Yamamoto (bass), to be joined later by Kim Thayil (guitar) and Scott Sundquist (drums).

Gong

Gong are a progressive rock band formed by Australian musician Daevid Allen. Their music has also been described as space rock. The various incarnations of Gong, its spin-offs and related bands are collectively dubbed the "Gong Global Family". They were formed in 1967, after Allen - then a member of Soft Machine - was denied entry to the United Kingdom due to a visa complication. Allen remained in France where he and a London-born Sorbonne professor, Gilli Smyth, established the first incarnation of Gong.

Gidi Snapir - Quantum - was always obsessed with collecting music and finding new sounds. Coming from a family of musicians, he studied piano as a kid but his first encounter with electronic music came in the late 1980's when he first heard new wave dark industrial music.

Circus

There are several bands called Circus. 1. A UK psych group lead by Philip Goodhand-Tait. They released two singles and an album 1967-69. 2. A Swiss progressive rock band in the 1970's. The band is best known for the album "Movin' On" (1977).
They recorded 3 albums: Circus (1976), Movin On (1977), Fearless Tearless And Even Less (1980) plus an "All star band" album called "Circus All Star Band" (1978) with members of many famous Swiss bands of the time.
