"Of all the electro pop artists lately , Dansette Junior seem the least contrived, and judging by ‘Drums n Bass‘, have the big songs too" - Steve Lamacq - Radio 1 The brainchild of singer/producer/songwriter Will Hunts alter ego Dansette Junior, was borne through a chance encounter on the ’High Road‘, in the not so salubrious area of Kentish Town, North London, with like minded Johnny Mac(synth geekery n bass) and Graham Gaffney(drums n machines)

Their debut single “Cosa Nostra” was released on Functional Breaks in 2003 and received universal DJ and radio support around the world. Their second release for the label followed soon after, a double ‘A’ sided single “Proper Tasty / Reconsidered” which firmly stamped its mark on the breaks scene with radio play on Radio One, Ministry of Sound FM, Breaks FM, several other international shows and has had DJ support from the likes of Freq Nasty, Krafty Kuts, Skool of Thought, Tayo and Steelzawheelz to name but a few.

Since their inception, ESG has affected post-punk, no wave, dance-punk, hip-hop, and various styles of dance music such as house. They fell in with the late '70s and early '80s NYC no wave and post-punk scene, they had their music sampled countless times, and they became a playlist staple at '70s and early '80s dance clubs like the Paradise Garage and the Music Box. ESG (Emerald, Sapphire and Gold) formed in 1978 in the South Bronx.

Tiga is the stage name of Montreal-born DJ/producer Tiga James Sontag (born 1974). He graduated from Selwyn House School, a prestigious school in Westmount. Before producing music, he was involved in the promotion of rave parties in his native city during the early 1990s, also Tiga was involved in the creation of world renowned afterhours club SONA. In 1994, he opened a record store named DNA Records, and in 1998 founded his own label, Turbo Recordings.
