1)The Promise were a powerful straight edge hardcore band from Syracuse and Philadelphia, 2) The Promise is a synthpop band from Germany. 1) Charging out of the gate in stagnant times where metal and pop punk have decayed the sound and disrespected the hallowed traditions of Straight Edge hardcore, THE PROMISE mean business, and pull no punches in achieving the goal of breathing life into a lost scene and misdirected genre.

Remission

There are two bands called Remission: 1.) Remission is a hardcore band from Santiago, Chile which began in 2008. Their main influences are Verbal Assault and Dag Nasty which is reflected in their melodic riffs with strong vocals. Their releases so far are: -2008, Demo 7"/Tape (Amendment records)

1) Burden is a finnish thrash metal metal band. It was founded in autumn 2008. Sami (bass guitar/vocals) and Henkka (rhythm guitar) phoned Matias (drums) so they could form a band. Later Henkka asked Otto (lead guitar) to join the band, and he did. After they had composed some songs of their own, they practiced hard and went to the studio.

Call To Preserve

Call to Preserve is a straight edge hardcore band based in Central Florida. Formed in 2003, the band plays heavy straight ahead hardcore that occasionally carries a melodic tinge.
After releasing a demo in 2005 CTP were signed to Facedown Records imprint label, Strikefirst Records in 2006. Their first full length, "Unsinkable," was released that August.
In the summer of 2008, CTP moved to parent label Facedown Records to release their sophomore album, "From Isolation," which was recorded that July with Jim Seigel (Dropkick Murphys...

French For Cartridge

French For Cartridge is a London-based band fronted by a male/female duo. Formed as an attempt to create atonal pop music whilst at Goldsmiths in New Cross, the band released their first album ‘Cases’ to rave reviews in 2006. The album made it to ‘album of the month’ in the renowned Organ fanzine and was picked up by Radio 1, BBC Newcastle, Resonance FM and Pulserated among others. Their track ‘Fooling Around’ was chosen by Rob Da Bank for the Radio 1 Best of Unsigned Podcast and featured in the top half of last year’s Dandelion Radio Peel Festive Fifty.

Close Your Eyes

Giving every ounce of their being over to everything that they set their minds to, CLOSE YOUR EYES blew the top off of the Abilene, Texas music scene and has brought their high energy, passionate brand of hardcore to the masses. With one listen of their Victory Records debut, We Will Overcome, audiences everywhere will notice the authenticity of this spirit-filled, hardcore outfit. Shane Raymond (Vocals) and Brett Callaway (Guitar/Vocals) first met at Hardin-Simmons University. Being the only two "hardcore" kids in the cafeteria connected them immediately.

Unbroken

There are at least two groups titled Unbroken. 1. Unbroken was a hardcore band from San Diego, California. They were influential in the Southern California hardcore scene during the mid-to-late 1990s. The band chose the name Unbroken because they wanted to emphasize their dedication to the straight edge philosophy of drug abstinence. However, most of the members have since given up this belief.

Your Demise

Hate filled hardcore / metal from St Albans, UK. Their self released first efforts Your Days Are Numbered and You Only Make Us Stronger put them on the UK Hardcore map and affirmed their place as one of the circuit's leading lights, Your Demise playing alongside anyone and everyone, anywhere and everywhere. An E.P entitled The Blood Stays On The Blade saw their first breakthrough in the UK press.
