Turning Point

Gusto Mastivo

Gusto Mastivo formed in the North East of Scotland after the demise of both Filthpact and Tribe.
Both bands had been pretty political in outlook but with this new band the members wanted to shy away from this and decided on singing about wrestling heroes such as Kendo Nagasaki and Werewolves instead as other bands did the political stuff better. Having formed in early 2008, Gusto Mastivo have released one demo, the second is on its way (June 2009) and have toured extensively including mainland Europe in April 2009.

True Colors

There are at least two bands with the name True Colors: 1. Summer 2004: former JUSTICE-guitarplayer Dunk had been without a band for a while when things started to itch, so he started a Straight Edge band that would sound like YOUTH OF TODAY’s ‘Break down the Walls’ and the TURNING POINT demo, with maybe a small hint of IN MY EYES… Dunk remembered Packo from his days of fronting BUILDING and figured the guy had everything this newfound band needed: a strong Edge, band-experience, outspokenness and most important of all: too much energy! Packo was down right away...

Artist Type:

Supertouch

Supertouch started in 1985 out of the ashes of New York hardcore band Death Before Dishonor, which featured a young Mike Judge on drums. They released a demo but no actual records. Supertouch, named after a Bad Brains song, had a different drummer than DBD, since Mike went on to Youth of Today and later, Judge, but it still had the Yu brothers on strings and of course Mark Ryan on vocals. Ryan had been into New York hardcore since about 1982 and was probably the first b-boy in hardcore, along with Eddie Sutton of Leeway, making him cooler than everyone.
