The Dunes

About The Dunes There are few words to describe the alternative rock sounds of The Dunes from Norfolk, Va. This bad ass 4 piece band is dedicated to upholding the rock n roll traditions of rebellion, outspokenness, and musical power. The Dunes pay homage to the legends of rock with a foundation of mean beats and original riffs. They rock the stage with an explosion that blasts every ones ears when the sound of their extraordinary music comes from the speakers, expressing their feelings and thoughts through the words and rythms of their music.

Owls

Since their early high school days in 1989, the members of Owls -- Tim Kinsella , Mike Kinsella , Victor Villarreal, and Sam Zurick -- have been playing together in some form or another. They had their greatest success as Cap'n Jazz, a screamy emo/hardcore act that also included The Promise Ring's Davey von Bohlen during its later days. The group's youthful exuberance was intense, but things ran their course and they disbanded in 1994.

Bad Books

Bad Books, simply put, is Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra. A true accident if there ever was one; Bad Books was never an intended nor calculated side project of Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull. Though the two musicians have collaborated and performed together on tour and within the Favorite Gentlemen community of artists for years now, the genesis of Bad Books came from a simple idea to fill space and time off the road by collaborating on a small batch of songs together at the top of the year.

Fix Monday

From the band's MySpace page: Fix Monday blend big rock sounds with delicate harmonies, indie sensibilities with pop catchiness, intricate musicianship with heart and soul. Mondays are rubbish. They come around too quickly and ruin your Sunday evening. They remind you of how much you hate your job and your boss. Enter then Fix Monday; four lads from Leamington Spa on a crusade to make Mondays, and every other day at that, a little more bearable.
