The EP will be available from November 24th on Fantastic Plastic. Unlike anything the band have done before, the EP will be entirely instrumental with each of the 5 tracks seguing into the next.

Cruel Black Dove

Cruel Black Dove’s sound is bold and atmospheric. Anastasia Dimou’s vocals are at once a thick and sonorous weight channeling Siouxsie Sioux, and a serene breath. The music is a soundtrack suited for the desert, hovering between dark new wave and electronic stadium grandeur. Their debut EP, Full Powers, was an intriguing introduction, merging strong soulful vocals with electronic sounds. On The Myth and the Sum, heavy drums and basslines remain, but the sonic drama present in Full Powers has been transformed into dreamy restraint, rich in melody and lyrics.

Ken Stringfellow

Ken Stringfellow is most widely known as Jon Auer's partner in the Seattle-based "power pop" group, The Posies, but is also a well-respected artist and producer in his own right. Ken's solo career began with the 1997 release, This Sounds Like Goodbye and the low-fi, experimental feel of this album was a departure from the richness of The Posies sound. His second solo release, Touched, had the misfortune of a September 11, 2001 street date and as a result, did not receive the attention it deserved.
