The Wedding Present

The Wedding Present is a rock group formed in Leeds, UK, 1984. They evolved from the ashes of the Lost Pandas. Their music has evolved from fast-paced indie rock in the vein of their most obvious influences The Fall, Buzzcocks and Gang of Four, to more varied forms. The Lost Pandas fell apart in 1984 when singer David Gedge's then girlfriend Janet Rigby, the drummer for the band, left him for guitarist Michael Duane (later of Dustdevils). Gedge and the Pandas' bass player, Keith Gregory, decided to continue the band, renaming it The Wedding Present.

Jeff Caudill

It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. Not many artists stay relevant to their fan-base over a sustained period of time, but Californian singer-songwriter, Jeff Caudill, is one such rarity. Shooting to prominence with punk-pop band, Gameface, in the early 1990s, his irrepressible knack for a memorable hook and melody quickly established a dedicated following. Never standing still, he led the band around the globe, gradually shedding the youthful exuberance for a string of increasingly mature releases, before finally abandoning the tour van in 2003.

The band's name is taken from the Roky Erickson & the Aliens song (which in turn was taken from the 1955 film of the same name), with Struyf citing Erickson's former band the 13th Floor Elevators and the man himself as influencing Creature with the Atom Brain's sound.

Potential Strangers

Potential Strangers never really seemed to be formed. They’re not really a band as such, rather a group of free musicians who meet each other and play some songs. The ‘some songs’ were all composed by the lead singer Dòl Eoin. He takes the reigns to an extent, while keeping an open mind with the songs’ direction. Buddy Holly was a heavy influence on Dòl eoin, as he grew up in probably one
of the most remote corners of the world.
