Arlo

Formed by Nate Greely and Sean Spillane, two Texan transplants in Los Angeles, in 1994, Arlo released their first full length, Up High In The Night, on Sub Pop in 2001. Ryan "Shmedly" Maynes joined the group soon after and contributed songs to the second album Stab The Unstoppable Hero. The group disbanded in early 2004 after the departure of their second drummer (and former child prodigy/session musician) Joaquin Revuelta. Spillane went on to join Midway.

Rookie Of The Year

Music is thoroughly entwined with our lives—organically spreading from person to person and city to city, leaving a trail of devotees in its wake. Singer-songwriter Ryan Dunson, who has played under the name Rookie of the Year since 2004, has embraced this fact, crisscrossing the country nearly a dozen times, winning hearts and developing a deeply personal connection with his fans. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL is Rookie of the Year's third studio album and marks the shining moment in Dunson's evolution from acoustic-pop upstart to shimmering indie troubadour.

Comets On Fire

Comets on Fire are a band from Santa Cruz, California. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarist and vocalist Ethan Miller and longtime friend bassist Ben Flashman, who were seeking to create rhythmically and sonically intense music that paid no attention to categorizations. The band's self-titled debut was released in 2001 and eventually issued on the Alternative Tentacles label. Recorded on a four-track, it was a garage/psych freakout of intense if not epic proportions.

Art Brut

Art Brut are an eccentric, motley bunch who have more in common with Half Man Half Biscuit and Pulp than they do with their oft-compared ‘influences’ The Fall. The band formed in 2003 and the current line-up consists of Eddie Argos (vocals), Ian Catskilkin (guitar), Friederike "Freddy" Feedback (bass), Jasper Future (guitar) and Mikey Breyer (drums). Vocalist Eddie Argos (an ex-goth obsessed with Jonathan Richman and Vincent Van Gogh) had previously been in a band, The Art Goblins, in his hometown of Bournemouth.
