Polinski

Polinski is a new project for Paul Wolinski, programmer of 65daysofstatic. It's a return to his beat-driven sampling and synth days, trying to meld loud, scruffy, analogue fuzziness with sparkly melodies. Like the walls of sound made by Oneohtrix Point Never and Fuck Buttons with added beats, or the old school melodies of Underworld and Orbital coated in warm distortion. No matter how hard he tries (which isn't all that hard), he can't quite pull himself free of his preoccupation with massive blasts of noise and relentlessness that 65days specialise in.

Russ Chimes

In a sea of postmodern hipsters cum bedroom producers there exisits floating on a sparkling lilo of talent, a man from the UK who knows whats in the party. Sounding a bit like something halfway between a Sega game and an airbrushed mural of Wayfarer'd flamingos, Russ Chimes' tunes may at times elicit some degree of nostalgia, although the inherent quality definitley proves he's more about about doing what feels good rather than the irony. (in a manner perhaps akin to funk fanatics Chromeo).

Pronto

When not playing in his full-time gig with Wilco, New Jersey native-via-Chicagoan-via-Brooklynite Mikael Jorgensen crafts pitch-perfect pop songs under the moniker of Pronto. The full story begins all the way back in 1995, the golden age of indie-rock, when Jorgensen was growing weary of the limitations of pop music. Fueled by healthy amounts of art school cynicism and the post-adolescent desire to create something unique, Movere Workshop was formed in the basement of a house in Leonardo, New Jersey.
