Ann Arbor's latest prodigal son and lover of sprinkles on doughnuts, takes the legacy of all Detroit's talented musical sons and daughters and makes Hip Hop beats filled with snippets of Soul, Funk, 70's Italian horror flick soundtracks, Nintendo bonus level music, and 90's Hip Hop. Somehow, with this much content, the beats still manage to sound gloriously minimal and disjointed. Fans like Benji B, Andrew Meza and XLR8R have been eagerly snapping up his tracks, as Sam freeze frames Electro energy and spits it back out as twisted future Jazz.

This artist should be tagged Kode9 Kode9 is a leading figure in the South London Dubstep scene. As a producer and DJ he most known for his collaborations with MC the SpaceApe aka Daddi Gee. He is also the founder of the pioneering UK label Hyperdub. Along with Pinch, one of the few producers at the dawn of Dubstep not be from Croydon. He is in fact Scottish.

Playing a mixture of original material and their own distinctive arrangements of vintage songs, The Curst Sons explore the hidden backwaters of American traditional music. Inspired by the pre-Rock & Roll world of Blues, Gospel and Old Time, their sound has been described as Hillbilly Blues, Country Punk and even Thrash Skiffle. Cooly G (Merrisa Campbell) comes from Brixton. She’s often placed within the growing UK funky movement, and her tracks almost always include a dancefloor-ready bassline. Yet she wouldn’t describe herself as part of the scene, even though she used to rap for funky producer Fingaprint.
Her dad had his own studio which she used to play about with, so she’d learned to DJ at the age of seven and was teaching music technology to men three times her age two months after she left school.
