The Hornblower Brothers

The Hornblower Brothers are a five piece band from Brighton, England. Their music combines a wide variety of influences to produce an uplifting original sound. Band members are: Nat Forrester (Electric guitar and vocals), Alistair Johnstone (Acoustic guitar and vocals), Gary Cox (Keyboard and Melodica), James Emery (Bass guitar) and Antony Groves (Drums). The band were recently featured by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music as his Unsigned Band of the Week.

Madness

Madness are a pop/ska band from Camden Town, London, England that formed in 1976. As of 2007, the band has continued to perform with their most recognised lineup of seven members, although it's varied slightly over the years. They were one of the most prominent bands of the late-70s 2 tone ska revival. However, as their career progressed, the band moved away from ska & closer toward conventional pop music.

Pineapple Thief

The Pineapple Thief, a progressive indie rock band from Somerset, United Kingdom, began as the musical vision of Bruce Soord. Soord started the band as an outlet for his music back in 1999. Bruce released the debut Abducting The Unicorn on Cyclops records - this created enough interest to convince Bruce that perhaps The Pineapple Thief was here to stay, quickly establishing a small but fanatical fan base. Bolstered by critical plaudits and support from fans, Bruce returned to the Dining Room studios to work on the second, and to many, the breakthrough Pineapple Thief album 137.

Billy Bragg

Stephen William Bragg (born December 20, 1957), known as Billy Bragg, is a British musician known for his blend of folk, punk-rock, and protest music. He has been active for over 20 years since his early career as a regular contributor to anarchic UK live rock show The Tube. His music is a combination of poetry and political comment, with a dash of romance. He has collaborated with many other musicians, including Johnny Marr of The Smiths, protest folk singer Leon Rosselson, R.E.M., Less Than Jake, Kirsty MacColl, Kate Nash, Milburn and Wilco.

Angel Witch

Angel Witch is a British heavy metal band which was assembled in 1977. They were part of the NWOBHM (New wave of British heavy metal) movement together with bands such as Iron Maiden and Saxon. The band was founded under the name of Lucifer and initially comprised guitarist and vocalist Kevin Heybourne, guitarist Rob Downing, bassist Kevin Riddles and drummer Steve Jones. Lucifer split and Steve Jones joined up with Bruce Dickinson to form Speed. The remnants of Lucifer became Angel Witch in the following year,when Dave Hogg joined on drums. Eventually Rob Downing left the band.

Akira Kayosa

The affair started in the early 90's when the likes of the Prodigy & The Chemical Brothers were dominating the scene. Like most of his age, these were the people he listened to. It wasn't long before Akira Kayosa's attentions turned towards the new sound that was developing, this was the music known as Trance. It seemed every cd that was released wether it be Gatecrasher or the Clubbers guide albums, it was in the bag.

Slowdive

Slowdive is a / band that formed in 1989 in Reading, England, United Kingdom. Signed to Creation Records in 1990 and initially championed by the British music press, the band scored a UK top forty entry with their debut album Just for a Day. The band consists of Rachel Goswell (vocals/guitar), Neil Halstead (vocals/guitar), Nick Chaplin (bass), Christian Savill (guitar), and Simon Scott (drums, 1990-1994, 2014-present); additionally, Ian McCutcheon replaced Scott from 1994-1995. Goswell and Halstead had known each other since early childhood in Reading, Berkshire.

The Locarnos

The Locarnos hail from the wonderous lands of Taunton in Somerset! They formed at the start of 2006 at the tender age of just 16. Now 17/18 the four of them are finishing college before hitting the big wide world. Their debut single, 'Give It To Me Straight' was released in March 2008. During their travels they've experienced the joy of a Maida Vale Session on Steve Lamacq's Radio 1 Show, they have been Lamacq's New Favourite Band on BBC Radio 6 and have been featured on Zane Lowe's Fresh Meat on Radio 1.
