The Blow Waves

Fusing punk, disco and a touch of ‘cock rock’, the Blow Wave’s unique sound has been described as punchy, rocky disco-camp… full of raw attitude. The Blow Waves are; Vocals - Matt Doll, Guitars – Jamie Wave, Keyboards – Byron St John, Bass – John Pants, and Drums – Jezz Beat. Immersed in dirty synths, melodic harmonies, guitar driven riffs and penetrating hooks, The Blow Waves capture their raw stage performance and live reputation with the launch of their self-titled EP on 20 June 2009.

James Joyce

Thought to be one of the greatest novelists of the 20th century, James Joyce is a key figure in the modernist movement. He is an Irish writer whose stories always take place in Ireland; however, he actually left the country at 22, returning infrequently. He is best known for his landmark novel Ulysses, an extremely difficult and intricate story taking place on June 16, 1904. His other major works are the short story collection Dubliners and the novels A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Finnegans Wake.

Close Your Eyes

Giving every ounce of their being over to everything that they set their minds to, CLOSE YOUR EYES blew the top off of the Abilene, Texas music scene and has brought their high energy, passionate brand of hardcore to the masses. With one listen of their Victory Records debut, We Will Overcome, audiences everywhere will notice the authenticity of this spirit-filled, hardcore outfit. Shane Raymond (Vocals) and Brett Callaway (Guitar/Vocals) first met at Hardin-Simmons University. Being the only two "hardcore" kids in the cafeteria connected them immediately.

Huggy Bear

Huggy Bear was an English riot grrrl band, formed in 1991 in Brighton, England. Rising up in tandem with the Olympia, Washington-based riot grrl movement led by feminist bands like Bikini Kill, Huggy Bear called themselves "boy/girl revolutionaries," both in reference to their political philosophy and the gender makeup of their band. During the course of their existence, they refused to be photographed or interviewed by mainstream press, nor gave their full names once they began releasing records formally.
