Mystery
There are several bands called Mystery; one from Canada, one from Hungary and one from Norway. 1) A project of French Canadian guitarist/lyricist/producer Michel St-Père, MYSTERY took form in 1986 as a six-member outfit. They released a self-titled album in 1992 that generated quite some interest across Canada. Unfortunately, a year later, their drummer Stéphane Perreault lost the use of both his legs; but his strong determination and passion for his craft inspired him with a new and unique approach...
Devil Sold His Soul
Forming in 2004, from the ashes of experimental metal outfit Mahumodo, Devil Sold His Soul took Rick's (orig guitarist of Mahumodo) original concept of sweeping chord progression based epic songs to the next level. Releases to date include an ep Darkness Prevails (re-released in 2007 with live footage, tracks and studio cuts) and their debut album A Fragile Hope which was received with great acclaim from both press and listeners alike.
Year Of No Light
Yet one more band started after too many Belgian beers under the sun of the ending summer of 2001, Year of No Light slightly but undoubtly started to slide down to gloomier atmospheres as the inherent chaos of Bordeaux's caves and harshness of winter made their common work. As the line-up solidified around the 5 actual members escaped from acts such as Metronome Charisma, Deja Mort and Nexus Sun, the band clarified their intentions and started to build the basis of what would be their first demo recorded in 2004.
