Professor Green
Professor Green is a rapper from East London, currently signed to Virgin Records, after Mike Skinner's The Beats label closed, and ended a run of his own radio shows on BBC Radio 1. Having fortified his name storming through the hip-hop battle rap circuit, 23 year old East London native Professor Green is set to drop his debut album on Mike Skinner's The Beats label (via Warner's). Growing up on the Northwold estate in Upper Clapton, Green's familial situation saw him being raised by his grandmother while he traded up school attendance for just hanging on the estate, like kids do.

Channel Cairo
Channel Cairo play indie pop-noir, loaded with romance and melancholy. The five grew up in the English and French countryside, and are now at home in London’s King’s Cross, at a rehearsal studio next to their favourite whiskey bar, The Lexington. The boys collaborate with amateur photographers and filmakers on both shores of the channel, as well as creating their own film and stills. Singer Josh likes to paint, and says that songs are always best written as soundtracks to stories. Expect to find the band reclined in their rehearsal room, contemplating the plot of their next track

Panic Attract
From East London arrive Anglo-French duo Panic Attract. Purveyors of twisted pop noir, they consist of multi-instrumentalist Greg Heresztyn and enigmatic front man and songwriter Tim Garratt. Already championed by 6 Music DJ Gary Crowley as “rather gorgeous, a sumptuous sound”, their melodic sensibility is underpinned by sweeping electronics, urgent hip-hop beats and dark lyrical content. This is music that both soothes and startles. Recent Press:
