A pioneer of fretless guitars, he invented the first fretless classical guitar in 1976.[1][2] A composer, he has influenced many musicians with his compositions combining the sounds of Turkish folk music, classical music with the ancient traditional music. He has played many concerts all over the world. He is regarded as a master of the kopuz and baglama lutes.

There are three bands with this name. Leprosy from Mexico which was active with the Ex lead singer of the band Transmetal "Pimentel." Leprosy from the Paul Green School of Rock in Downingtown, PA. and Als, and finally Leprosy; a punk band from Melbourne Australia playing in the style of UK82 such as Disorder and Finnish punk such as KAAOS. Leprosy from PA have a sound very similar to Cannibal Corpse's, albeit the vocals are not quite as strong. The general song content is similar.

She studied composition and violin in Vienna and Bern. 2000 she won the international Szeryng-Competition in Mexico and in 2002 the prestigious "International Credit Suisse Group Young Artist Award". During the Season 2002/3 she represented Austria in the concert series "Rising Stars" with debuts in New York and many European capitals.
