The Smashing Pumpkins are an alternative rock band, formed in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in 1988. Billy Corgan and James Iha met in a record store, and began performing in local nightclubs with their bassist, D'Arcy Wretzky, using a drum machine. Playing with a drum machine frustrated both the band and their audience, and so Chicago jazz drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was hired soon afterwards. Pissed Jeans are a rock band from Allentown, PA. The sound of their music is a combination of sludgy bands from the early Eighties like Flipper and My War-era Black Flag and the noise assault of The Jesus Lizard. Their discography includes Throbbing Organ 7" (Parts Unknown), Shallow LP/CD (Parts Unknown), Don't Need Smoke to Make Myself Disappear 7" (Sub Pop), Hope For Men LP/CD (Sub Pop), King of Jeans LP/CD (Sub Pop), and their February 2013 release Honeys (Sub Pop).

Maleficent is an alternative band from London, U.K. Formed in 2006 by Maleficent Martini, the beautiful lead vocalist and Mortimer Cain, singer, the band got to the present outfit when Vincent M. Sickx joined, taking care of the music production. The music ranges from upbeat synth driven industrial to progressive metal, going through sleazy R’n’R and dirty soundscapes, with antagonizing double vocals, creating a very unique contraposition between beauty and evil.
The debut Cd Demize was self released in January 2009. Not to be mistaken with the metal band with the same name from Texas, U.S.

Formed in early '08 via clever natural selection of traits and adaptations due to genetic mutations in a toxic pool streaming from the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, Galapagos Now! appears to be a pioneer species of Ecuadoran lizard that has learned to mimic and originate mating calls many agree is closely related to rock music. Appearing to be a band in Brooklyn, it seems, is a clever kind of camouflage- one which they have used to their selective advantage while cultivating a habitat in seedy new york dives.
