Fast Cars

Fast Cars were formed in 1977 by Stuart Murray and his brother Steven at school in Swinton, Manchester. They played Pop-Punk, their original line up was ;Steven Murray vocals (and main songwriter) Hyden Jones on lead, Stuart on Bass and Tony Dyson on drums. After about 6 months Hyden left and Craig Hilton joined them and that is who played on the single "The Kids Just Wanna Dance". They had 2 songs put on "A Manchester Collection" LP Orbit Records.

The Avengers

There are three bands and one radio show sharing the name The Avengers: 1) The Avengers were formed in San Francisco, in the first wave of American Punk. Penelope Houston was the lead singer, primary songwriter, and her persona was a large part of the draw for the act. The other band members were James Wilsey (bass), D. Furious (drums), and Greg Ingraham (guitar). Critic Greil Marcus once said The Avengers were, “…San Francisco’s best punk band - in their moments, they were, you knew, better than any other band playing that night anywhere in the world.”

The Tights

The Tights were formed in 1977, and hail from Worcestershire in the UK. The current line up is : Malcolm Orgee - vocals; Rob Banks - Guitar & Vocals; Barry Island - Bass , Keyboards & vocals; Hodge - drums & vocals
They were the first ever band to be signed to the now legendary punk rock label
Cherry Red Records.
Their 2 singles 'Bad Hearts' and 'Howard Hughes' released in 1978 reached
number 4 and 6 respectively in the UK indie charts at the time.

The Outcasts

There appear to have been at least two groups called The Outcasts. For the Northern Irish punk band: Belfast, Ireland (1977 – present)
The Outcasts were formed in June 1977 in Belfast by the three Cowan brothers, Greg Cowan (vocals / bass), Martin Cowan (guitar/vocals), Colin Cowan (drums) and their friend Colin ‘Getty’ Getgoog (guitar), playing their first gig two months later. ‘You’re A Disease’ / ‘Don’t Want To Be No Adult’ / ‘Frustration’ (It, 1978) is easily the roughest sounding early Outcasts single, ‘You’re A Disease’ stands out as the best track.

Dead Kennedys

Dead Kennedys are a hardcore punk/punk rock band from San Francisco, California. During the 1980s the band gained a large underground following in the international punk music scene. Their music mixed the more experimental elements of English 1970s punk with the raw energy of the 1980s American scene. Dead Kennedys' songs mix the deliberately shocking lyrics of punk with a satirical and sarcastic left-wing commentary on social and political issues.

G.B.H

G.B.H are a British punk band from Birmingham, formed in 1979, and still active today. They have stayed true to their punk sound, and their influence can be heard in many thrash and punk bands today. Notable albums include 'City Baby Attacked By Rats' and the E.P 'Leather, Bristles, Sick Boys, No Survivors...'. Notable songs include 'Generals', 'Alcohol', 'Big Women' and 'City Baby Attacked By Rats'.

Tight Finks

Tight Finks are Avarel (drums,vox), Bix (bass,vox) and Jamous T.B. (guitar, vox) - three punkrockers, hailing from the country of chocolate and purple cows, Switzerland. They like punkrock that was played around the year 1977 and bands like 999, The Vibrators, The Adicts, The Boys, The Buzzcocks etc.
They are together since 1995 and released three LPs:
