Sweet Baboo

Sweet Baboo a.k.a Stephen Black formulated in the hills of North Wales some 10 or 11 years ago, initially as a way to impress girls and to waste Sundays. Locked inside his parents’ loft he would noodle and tinkle with his Casio keyboard, a 10 pound Tandy microphone, a little four track recorder and his father’s guitar. Kaputt are an indie / alternative four piece from London, England, fronted by ex-Go! Team member Silke Steidinger. They have released two limited edition 7" singles to date, are regularly played on XFM London and BBC 6 and have recorded live sessions with both radio stations which led to them being asked to play for John Kennedy and John Hillcock as part of Xfm's 'All Day Breakfast' celebrations.

Pete & the Pirates

Bright, young commanders of a brand of unique Englishness, Pete and The Pirates' blend of smooth edged punk and pop produces music which is sweet, raw, joyous, melancholic, raucous and tender. The Pirates' idiosyncratic and endearing songwriting puts them somewhere between the Flying Nun band Tall Dwarfs and the wistful reflection of On The Beach-era Neil Young. Cars Can Be Blue started during the summer of 2002 after the dissolution of Nate's cover band and Becky's improv comedy group.
