Mr Woodnote

Mr.Woodnote is a saxophonist by trade. Originating from Australia with a background in Jazz, his travels paused in Bristol two years ago. Since then he has recorded, performed and toured with Dub FX, The Bonobo Hobos and others from Bristols musical underground. His first album 'Winter of Woodshed' showcases his formidable skills as a saxophonist, human beat-boxer and composer. Mr.Woodnote is now on tour with The Bonobo Hobos, taking their unique, eclectic, bouncy beats and lyrics from street to stage, city to city.

Bobby Wellins

Bobby (Robert Coull) Wellins is a jazz tenor saxophonist. He was born in Glasgow on 24 January 1936. He came from a musical family and later studied music at college, originally playing alto sax. After college he played in dance bands and made his first recording in 1956 with Buddy Featherstonhaugh's quintet. In the early 1960s Wellins worked with the Tony Crombie Band, Tubby Hayes, and most notably began a long association with the pianist Stan Tracey. He recorded the landmark Under Milk Wood with Tracey in 1965.

Huey Lewis & the News is an Academy Award-nominated American band based in San Francisco, California. They had a run of hit singles during the 1980s and early 1990s, scoring a total of 19 top-ten singles across the US Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary and Mainstream Rock charts. Their greatest success was with their number-one album, Sports.
