Both Ed Rush and Optical are the co-heads of a drum and bass record label called Virus Recordings, based in London, UK. Both have earned acclaim separately, with Optical engineering tracks on Goldie and Grooverider's albums and releasing some excellent solo tunes on the likes of Prototype, 31, and Metro. Ed Rush also has countless releases, notably on No U-Turn, where he and Nico first emphasized the dark era of drum and bass with the masterpiece album Torque, and Metalheadz, where he produced such classics as "The Raven" and "Locust".

There are at least eight artists with the name Matrix: 1. Matrix is the pseudonym of London based drum and bass producer and DJ Jamie Quinn. Quinn started his musical career as one half of drum and bass duo Turbosound, who signed to DJ SS's F Project Records label, an offshoot of Formation Records. Their name was changed for them to "International Rudeboys", which while it perhaps didn't suit them as well as they would have liked, nonetheless this brought further success on Formation Records proper.

The Funktion is a Drum and Bass producer hailing from Oxfordshire, England. With his debut release on Kasra's acclaimed label Critical, as well as a heap of tunes on Bristol based
labels RUN DNB and Traffic, he has shared 12's with the likes of DJ Fresh, Break and Audio. The Funktion is one to look out for in 2011, as his latest single Direct Order (Lomax remix) b/w Gyrator (Icicle remix) is on full release now.

The Outside Agency are DJ Hidden and Eye-D, hardcore and drum & bass artists from Goes, Netherlands. The Producers As true dissidents within the hardcore scene, The Outside Agency has always had its own unique sound. This was already evident on their first release, which they produced for Mokum Records in 1996. After that period hardcore suffered a drastic change in direction and the two members of TOA no longer felt at home in the genre and focused their attention on drum & bass instead.
