The man getting his regular short back and sides smiles with intrigue at the figure in the doorway. This Camden hairdresser isn’t used to visits from unfamiliar faces. The bespectacled guest, dressed in a faded denim jacket and rolled shorts, begins to strum a Ukulele, giving his adopted crowd a rendition of his latest song, “I love me”. Even the stubborn buzz of the last few clippers has been silenced within moments. Two minutes later he leaves, followed by looks of affection and bemusement.

Xykogen is a UK techno-industrial band, established in 2004 by Amon Zero. Amon was formerly the vocalist of UK cyberpunk band Arkam Asylum. The full lineup formed at the beginning of 2006, with the release of the Mutate and Survive EP. Xykogen live is Amon Zero [vox/programming], Kaida [synths/samples], Mog [vox/v-drums], the Reverend Eris , and Max Rael [guitars/electronica]. Xykogen are based in London.
Born in Palermo, Italy (on January 1- 1976), Jo indulged in his passion for music from a young age, blowing all the money from his paper round on vinyls. At the age of 14 he bought his first drum machine and 'caught the bug' from there. He progressed from making the usual cassette tapes for friends, put together on a cheap set of decks that he wore out learning to mix. After spending money to buy more equipment to make music (multi tracks; synths; multi effects and a DAT recording) he discovered with his friend through experimentation...
Dead or Alive is an influential new wave band from Liverpool that rose to popularity during the 1980s and gained a cult following in Japan during that time. They are best known for the hit singles "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" and "Brand New Lover". Before Pete Burns founded Dead Or Alive, he was involved with a Liverpool based band named Nightmares In Wax (no relation to Nightmares on Wax). The band centred around alternative music and released their only notable record, Black Leather in 1979 or 1980.
