Jaymay

There are two artists that use the name Jaymay. 1) Jamie Seerman and 2) JayMay a Christian rapper. 1. Jamie Seerman is an American folk singer-songwriter from New York. She performs under the name Jaymay. She was raised on Long Island and in 2003, unable to find a job in book publishing, Jaymay began playing open mics. Her major musical influence is Bob Dylan. She has been described by the BBC as "darling of the New York 'Anti-Folk' scene", and by the New York Times as a "big name for the indie universe".

Lucia Draft

Lucia Draft is a solo artist based in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. Her music is a whimsical kind of bedroom folk pop storytelling that is experimental and multi-layered in its diverse instrumentation, and often recalls the music of cinema. Previously she has performed as a member of Sydney indie-rock band BoysClub, psychedelic folk ensemble The Night Of Love, and industrial noise band Rotted Crow. She has also released a number of electronic compositions under the name noisebear and is currently recording with the H.W. Plainview band.

A Band of Buriers is an English alternative folk band that blends both folk and alternative rap elements together. Their unique acoustic sound encompasses dreamy melodies and intense string reverberations with abstract and imaginative poetry woven throughout. This intriguing combination of styles was developed by James P Honey and Jamie Romain who are oftentimes accompanied by Matthew Romain (violin), James Reindeer (field recordings), Mesparrow (vocals) and Nadia D’ Alò (vocals).

There are two artists called Jeffrey Lewis. One (b. 1975) is an American singer-songwriter, the other is a Welsh composer. Jeffrey Lewis is an American singer/songwriter and comic-book artist, part of the Anti-folk movement. Several of his musical influences have been acknowledged in his songs such as The Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex Song, concerning the song by Leonard Cohen, and The History of The Fall.

The following biography deals with Milkteeth from the city of Hereford, UK (Feb/05 - Sep/06) Milkteeth were a duo comprising of Elspeth Anne Macrae and Leila Terrett. They formed near Hereford,UK, both aged 16, after having played together as part of a lo-fi band for a year or so previously. Elspeth and Leila both switched between guitar and drums, and lead and harmonic vocals. Their music could be described as blending elements of folk, anti-folk, punk and grunge. Or punk elephants in lemonade as they characterised it.
