Wasalu Muhammad Jaco (born February 16, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois), better known by his stage name Lupe Fiasco, is a Grammy Award-winning American hip-hop artist and producer. Kevin Mark Trail
The Early Years Kevin Mark Trail was born and raised in North West London. Trail's music is a mix of soul, reggae, hip hop, R&B and garage, influenced by U.S. R&B and Jamaican reggae. His mother introduced him to reggae and soul from his childhood and lists the likes of John Holt, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs and Toots & The Maytals as some of his reggae influences as well as Millie Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway as his soul influences. Peter Hadar born Peter Winstead Jr. in Newark, New Jersey, enjoyed a middle-class upbringing supported by his father, a well-known gospel musician and his doting mother whom did whatever she could so that her child would not end up a statistic. Peter attended the best schools and grew under the tutelage of some of the most powerful ministers in the area.
Boney M
The group was created by producer Frank Farian in 1975 and was composed of four West Indian artists working in London, Germany and the Netherlands: singers Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell, model Maizie Williams and DJ Bobby Farrell. Boney M is noted for the mix of white and black music—the producer Farian is white and the singers are black; significantly many songs are black (freedom) songs, for example “No More Chain Gang” in the album Oceans Of Fantasy.
