Fight the Big Bull

Fight the Big Bull is a Richmond, Virginia based improvisatory ensemble with two 2010 recordings selected for NPR's best of the year lists. The band was founded in the mid-00s by guitarist Matt White, one of the organizers of the Patchwork Collective, an arts group dedicated to creating a vital local music scene.The original configuration- called simply Fight the Bull- was a trio with drummer Pinson Chanselle and trombonist Bryan Hooten. The group was subsequently expanded to eight players (or nine, with the occasional addition of ex-Agents of Good Roots percussionist Brian Jones.

Tankus The Henge

Superlatives are used far too frequently in the music business, but Tankus the Henge truly are the ultimate feel-good band. They come from a background of vaudeville and gypsy carnival, but it’s coupled with a commercial songwriting nous and flair for showmanship that makes them even greater than the sum of their parts.

The People

There are three bands that use the name "The People." The People - Kansas City 1999-2003
The People were a band from Kansas City, Missouri. They began as an early art-rock project by cousins Ben Grimes and Ryan Shank in Springfield, MO in 1999. They independently released one full-length record, "The Premise Is Sound" in 2000, and recorded an unreleased 3 song EP entitled "Japan." Thom Daugherty left the band to join The Elms in 2000. In 2003, the band signed with Astralwerks Records, releasing one album and one EP under the name The Golden Republic.

2. An American forest punk band 1.Abandon Ship was a hardcore punk band from Brighton, England that existed between 2003-2008. They released 3 records and a discography cd, toured the UK numerous times and also toured Europe. The final line up of the band was Andy Devine, Matt Devine, Rob Camp, Steve O’Brien and Ralph Simmonds. Past members were Conan Roberts and Sam Cooke. Discography

The Final Chapter

There are 2 bands named The Final Chapter The First was formed by members of Bestiary and Anah Aevia in 2004. Shortly after, they recorded a 5 song EP entitled, A Funeral Portrait. After numerous lineup changes they did a brief tour with For The Fallen Dreams in the summer of 2005 and after numerous delays, A Funeral Portrait was eventually released in the fall of 2005. The self-proclaimed, ill-fated band met it's untimely demise in 2006 when their drummer, Bone, left the band to join Still Remains.
