Artist Type:

AA Bondy

Coming from Birmingham, Alabama. Ex-Verbena frontman toned down his sound in recent years after Verbena disbanded.
The guitars may be mostly acoustic these days, but the southern drawl and honest lyric and songwriting style still shine through. It seems Bondy has found another perfect style for his raspy voice, the acoustic blues akin to Rolling Stones ballads or Bob Dylan.
He recently married into the Felice family--of Felice Brother's fame--and sometimes tours with The Felice Brothers, performing both as an opening act and as an auxiliary guitar player.

Artist Type:

Matt Molloy

A master of the Sligo tradition of flute and tin whistle playing, Matt Molloy has played a vital role in the evolution of Irish music. A charter member of the Bothy Band, Molloy has continued to bring a modern sensibility to Ireland's traditional music. In addition to recording four memorable solo albums, Molloy has applied the warm, airy tones of his flutes to the music of Paul Brady, Tommy Peoples, Michael O'Suillabhain, Donal Lunny, Planxty, and the Irish Chamber Orchestra. Malloy has been one of two non-Dubliners in the Chieftains since 1979.

Penny Century

1. Penny Century consists of five northern youngsters hailing from Ostersund, Sweden. They are first and foremost dear friends, but also happen to share a huge love for pop-music. So writing and performing songs together came along rather natural, and the band Penny Century were soon formed. The guitarists and songwriters Erik Persson and Kim Fastesson are also members of local rockband Archer and the rhythm-section, Pontus Sillren and Martin Soderin used to play in various odd, experimental groups when they were younger.

Low Low Low La La La Love Love Love is an ever-evolving UK-based outfit. Over six years and through a shifting construct, they’ve employed varied approaches to writing and recording. But amidst changes, some constants have remained; a stark lyricism, thoughtful arrangements and complementary, harmonic vocals which glimmer and tremble throughout. Following their 2004 self-titled debut and the evocative "Ends of June" (Other Electricities, 2007), "Feels, Feathers Bog and Bees" is their third album.

Artist Type:

Birdengine

Birdengine is the name Mr Lawry Joseph Tilbury chooses to make music with. He hails from the Dorset countryside and began making music as a child. Venturing at night into the fields and forests surrounding his childhood home, with a broken nylon guitar, a record player and a couple of carefully scratched and doctored records, performing his ramshackle and melancholy sound for only himself, the woodland creatures and the moon.
