Digger Barnes is a Hamburg (Germany) based singer/songwriter, performer and bassplayer (Chuck Ragan, Revival Tour and others). His music is influenced by Desert Rock and Americana. On his september 2009 euro-tour together with Chuck Ragan he will play songs of his new album Time Has Come, accompanied by a small backup band.

Megafaun
Brad Cook, Joe Westerlund and Phil Cook originate from Eau Claire Wisconsin, formerly of Amateur Love and DeYarmond Edison, which included Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). Now reside in Raleigh, North Carolina where they make Appalachian influenced Experimental Rock.
Lead Belly
Huddie Ledbetter (23 January 1888 December 1949) was a leading American blues singer and guitarist. His songbook contained a large number of standard folk tunes, most adapted from previous sources. Though many releases list him as "Leadbelly," he himself spelled it "Lead Belly." This is also the usage on his tombstone, as well as of the Lead Belly Foundation. Lead Belly was born in Mooringsport, Louisiana, and spent time in and out of prison most of his life.
Jeff Tweedy
Jeff Tweedy (born August 25, 1967 in Belleville, Illinois, United States) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and poet best known for his work with the group Wilco. Tweedy also founded (along with Jay Farrar) the alternative country group Uncle Tupelo, and is a member of Golden Smog, an occasional musical collective whose shifting personnel also includes members of The Jayhawks, Soul Asylum and The Replacements.
Matthew Barber
Matthew Barber (born January 10, 1977) is a Canadian singer-songwriter of indie pop and pop rock with folk and alternative country influences. Barber was born and grew up in Port Credit, which is part of Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto, before moving to Kingston, Ontario to attend Queen's University, where he volunteered at campus radio station CFRC-FM and performed at campus pubs. After graduating from Queen's, he went to McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario for his master's degree in philosophy, and here he began to take his performing more seriously.
Capercaillie
Capercaillie is a Scottish folk band founded in the 1980s by Donald Shaw and fronted by Karen Matheson. They recorded their first album, Cascade, in 1984. Their 1992 EP Coisich A Ruin was the first ever Scottish Gaelic language record to reach the UK Top 40 singles chart. They have also pioneered the integration of bits of other music, including some electronics and African rhythms, into their music, though it is still primarily scottish folk music.

Nick Keir
Nick Keir is an Edinburgh folk singer, and is well known on the folk scene - his music is well loved by people in the know. He is well worth looking into.
Nick began his career with the now-legendary Folk/Rock band "Finn mac Cuill" and worked with 7;84 Theatre Company befor joining The McCalmans. After Dec 2010 he'll be working solo, in a duo with Stephen Quigg and continuing his association with The Tolkien Ensemble, touring Europe with them in a huge Stage show, narrated by Christopher Lee
