In autumn 2007, drummer Craig Clark put a note on the notice board at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Leeds, looking for people to join a band. Alex Greenwood (aka Bono Vox), Dave Evans (aka The Edge) and Jon Owen joined up. Dave Evans soon left to join the Navy, while the remaining three formed 'Dream Boat' before changing to 'Expert Shooter' and then Uprights.

Bury Your Dead (sometimes abbreviated to BYD) are a five-piece metallic hardcore band that hails from Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. Formed in 2001, Bury Your Dead began as a side project of the band Hamartia featuring Brendan "Slim" MacDonald (guitar) and Mark Castillo (Drums). With the metalcore sound of Hamartia growing tiresome to both Slim and Mark, they started writing less technical songs in their free time.

Summer 2004: Orange County California Straight Edge Hardcore legends Insted had a three-date east coast romp in the works, and invited long time friend Tim McMahon onto the New Jersey show bill to front whichever of his prior bands he chose (Mouthpiece, Hands Tied, Face The Enemy). Any of your bands, we want you on the show singing they told him. Quite a nice thing to hear for McMahon, who had caught Insted in his teenage years in '89 and '91 and no doubt had fond memories, especially those of Mouthpiece opening for the O.
