Nightjar

There is more than one artist with this name. 1). Nightjar is an American rock band with country and Americana influences that is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Playing a forceful sound of rock and alt-country often fueled by a three-guitar attack, Nightjar formed in Indianapolis in early 2007. Influenced by renegade country as well as classic rock styles, the band starting playing what quickly became known as ferocious live shows full of aggressive rock and soul. There debut album, "Hometown Stranger", was released in March of 2010.

Jurga

Jurga was born in 1980, Telšiai, Samogitia, Lithuania. She started her solo career successfully by releasing her debut album Aukso Pieva (Golden Meadow) back in 2005. The first single from this album was Nebijok (Don't Be Afraid) and charted at Number One for 8 weeks and became the biggest hit single of 2005 in Lithuania. Released in September the album Aukso Pieva now is close to platinum sales (20,000 copies).

Awakening Sun

AWAKENING SUN – an unsigned, fast growing, one of the most promising Lithuanian bands. AWAKENING SUN was set up by a guitarist, a lyricist, the main composer, the frontman and band producer Ernestas in spring 2011. Different musicians had replaced each other, until the final cast was formed: Ernestas Skripkiūnas (vocals/ lead guitar), Vilius Stašauskas- (drums), Denis Bubel (rhythm guitar), Povilas Laurinaitis (bass guitar).

Soliaris (real name Algimantas Minalga) is a Lithuanian pop artist born in 1985. He started his career in a vocal band called "Tabu". He became famous as a soloist when participating in a Lithuanian reality show "Dangus" (eng. Sky). After it he recorded his first solo album "Po dviguba saule" (eng. Under double sun) in May 2007. He participated in a Latvian reality show "Hello Jurmala". In 2010 Soliaris took part in the Lithuanian preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest with "So High".

The beginning stages of IJO’s musical career took place in the intersection of dark ambient, drum’n’bass and drill’n’bass styles. Later the talented producer moved on to exploring the more accessible easy listening, ambient and IDM territories (though not renouncing his personal attachment to twisted drum’n’bass). Yet even this lighter musical material bore the traces of his experiments with darker and heavier styles, manifested in syncopated polyrhythmic beats and carefully crafted atmospheres.

OBTEST has started in late days of 1992, inspired by the then new and challenging Black Metal explosion, particularly in Scandinavia. Bands like Enslaved, Grand Belial's Key, Mayhem, and Darkthrone had a huge inspirational effect on the youngsters. However, the fascination of the music they have been initially involved into Metal and growing up with [Manowar, AC/DC, Death, Grave] has never faded away, and that’s perhaps the explanation of the evolution OBTEST music has gone through years.
