The band was formed in 2006 by Adrian Poveda (vocals & guitar), Alejandro Imbach (bass, banjo & keyboards), Esteban Rodríguez (guitar) and Wash (drums). Drive-By Truckers are an alternative country band which formed in Athens, Georgia, United States in 1996. Currently, the band consists of Patterson Hood (vocals, guitar), Mike Cooley (vocals, guitar), Shonna Tucker (bass, vocals), John Neff (guitar), Jay Gonzalez (keyboards) and Brad Morgan (drums). Cooley and Hood are the only original members of the band remaining. Perhaps the band's best known former member, guitarist and contributing songwriter Jason Isbell left the band in 2007, shortly after his divorce from Tucker.

Alison Krauss (born July 23, 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer, songwriter and fiddler. Signed to Rounder Records as a 14-year-old fiddler from Champaign, Illinois, she has become the most recognized face in contemporary bluegrass, a critically acclaimed artist who has brought modern sophistication to the genre while respecting its traditions. Songfacts reports that in 2011 Krauss recorded her first ever number one country album in her home country with paper airplane.

It was the Whit weekend 2007 in Saddleworth, England; two young men in their early 20s dressed in stolen sheep costumes decided to have a wrestle and the outcome - The 99s. The first month was spent writing a set, practicing and recording demos. James and Johnny instantly formed a good songwriting partnership and Adams van had three seats - it was perfect. MUTV hailed the band as their favourite act of 2008 as voted by the public, and the band were soon filmed playing a live session and interview at Manchester’s XFM with the legendary Clint Boon.

The Coal Porters

The Coal Porters are a British based Bluegrass band formed in 1992. Widely accepted to be the best Bluegrass band in Britain, the Coal Porters are actually led by an American from south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Singer and mandolin player Sid Griffin is a native of Louisville, Kentucky - the very heartland of the Bluegrass world - although he has been a resident of South London for many years. He first came to international recognition at the head of legendary Paisley Underground band the Long Ryders of "Looking for Lewis and Clark" fame more than 20 years ago.
