Sugar Blue
James Whiting, a.k.a. Sugar Blue is a harp player of the Baby Boom generation. Born in New York City in 1950, he got started on harmonica in his teens. By the time he was twenty he had recording credits with Brownie McGhee, Victoria Spivey, and Roosevelt Sykes.
Whiting moved to Paris in 1976, and was playing at a party there when he met someone who claimed to know Mick Jagger, and that Whiting should give Jagger a call at his Paris residence. Skeptical, he tried the number, it panned out, and the result was a guest solo on Miss You from the Some Girls album.

Finally it's suddenly your turn, everything going on auto-pilot, you plug your instrument in, do a brief soundcheck to set levels, and then you take a deep breath... You start singing, you concentrate on making the songs as atmospheric and story-telling-like as possible and not some droney sound taht you usually do, you feel the atmosphere shift in the audience, then you start to get into the song, you feel like you're riding an invisible wave of energy... suddenly everyone goes quiet...

Steve Conte & The Crazy Truth
Named for a Charles Bukowski poem, The Crazy Truth began to unfold in 2005 when Steve ran into high school pal Lee "Leeko" Kostrinsky on New York's Lower East Side. Leeko's punk, reggae & indie rock influences were a perfect foil for Conte's blues, 60's garage rock and latin-soul. Rounded out by Scarborough's own Phil Stewart on drums, the trio played their first show in NYC within a few months - a T Rex memorial concert where they performed a cover of Marc Bolan's classic "Rip Off" and 9 new S.C. originals.

The Martin Harley Band
Martin Harley is a mesmerizing singer/songwriter whose original sound draws on influences from old time blues and folk to world music to create songs that sound so familiar you think you’ve grown up with them. Songs about living in cars, worn out shoes, girls lost in the carnival lights, satellite hunting in car parks and a constant sense wondering are recurring themes in Martins music. His original approach to playing slide guitar across his lap and his accomplished finger style playing are the cornerstone of the music along with his whiskey soaked northern breeze vocals.
